Re: Now for O'Keefe in the PSD...

O'Keefe's manager said that he wants to go to Carlton, so there is a very strong chance of him coming on board. We still even get to keep our pick 6. :D:thumbsu: GREAT WORK CARLTON.

unfortunately bluesforever he has no say in the matter now... If a team can accomodate his terms he will be heading there... He can longer nominate his club of choice...

Re: Now for O'Keefe in the PSD...

No we wont be getting ROK now. We can't fit him into the cap and the Don's are hot on his arse.

Re: Now for O'Keefe in the PSD...

Tough, but not impossible. Too many factors outside our control IMO. The 2 things going for us are:

(A) The Blues are his preferred Club
(B) We have enough $ to accommodate his needs

The bigger issue is whether he want's to risk going into the PSD, because he might end up at one of the regional bottom-4 disaster Clubs. I suspect he'll re-sign with the Swans. Plenty of time for him to sit down with Swann and work through the scenarios. :)

He'll be 28 years old next year. Pass. :)
Last I heard Ratten had a "must be able to play 100 games for the Club" criteria. We need to be strong and stick to our development plan, and resist the top-up urge. :)
Oops.:)
EDIT:
Interesting to know what the reason was, but glad he's off our list.
Double Oops.:)

Re: Now for O'Keefe in the PSD...

Source? Where has this come from that Carlton is his preferred destination?

Just clearing something up guys..

ROK preferred club = Hawthorn

Maybe so, but is also speculative, just because they made the biggest reported play for him doesn't mean he has nominated them as his preference. They can;t afford him anyway as if he does nominate for a draft the price he will put on his head in order to detract interest from non-vic teams will MOST DEFINITELY rule our hawthorn

Re: Now for O'Keefe in the PSD...

Does anyone know if time on money comes into play when contracts are front or back ended?

ie. are do fontloaded contracts end up being less money because of the value of having the money earlier than backended contracts because the club gets the value of the money until a later stage in the contract?
