In all seriousness, Channel 7’s questionable ethics and severity of the allegations aside, what the **** is he doing in a nightclub in the early hours of a Sunday morning after we’ve just played a game anyway? Probably deserves a week off just for that.
Because if the game is 7 or more days away, they can go out to have a drink post game?

lol here we go with all the standard ridiculousness and overreactions about something that will be proven in the end to be even less of a non story than the ryder incident.

Its extremely easy to paint the almost definitely clear picture about how this all went down without too much help needed.

not even going to bother

Channel 7 "understands" he'll be dropped this week is a massive guess. They're assuming he did it as described and will admit to it and take the consequences (as he should if true). If his version of events is different, and it very well could be considering the circumstances, I don't see how he could be dropped on a he said/she said case.

No police report suggests it isn't too serious, but he (and a lot of 19/20 year old men) need to learn what's acceptable.

Players are allowed to have a life. It wasn't 6am in the morning. He's 20 you are allowed to make the odd mistake as a 20 year old when trying to experience life.

Even if it’s very minor, need to have an absolute zero tolerance to this type of behaviour, 1 week suspension and no clubbing for a reasonable length if time. Very disappointing.

My main concern is that players are out on the town at 2.30am. These guys are targets for every nut case in town. When will they realise this? I realise that the Club cannot chain these guys up but the players have to take some responsibility.

I am not sure if the Club has a policy on late night activity but it sounds like they need one. We live the age of #Me Too and it isn't going to take much for someone of either gender to try and grab their 15 minutes of fame.

nope .. i came here to see what u guys were saying .. im sure u would in reverse.

Ya huh I am sure if it involved a North Melbourne player you'd have been straight on their board too.

She was harassed by a stupid, probably drunk, horny young bloke. She did the right thing to talk to the club so that he can get a good kick up the arse and a bit of education from club officials and do a bit of growing up. We are after all, doing the stop violence against women campaign club wide.

I understand she is upset and pissed of with Sam and it would have been a bit of a fright, but don't know why she went to the media as i doubt there is no money involved. She might have got some advise that its not worth your hassle to go thru the cops and court system, but if you out Sam, it might embarrass him into waking up a bit and he might not do it again. Probably was some good advice for all concerned.

time for the kid to grow up and focus.

Also time for the club to help him and set some boundaries.

Incident on Saturday night.
No police report.
Exclusive interview on Monday night.
Accuser anonymous.
Accused named.

Seems like a solid, legally sound, way to handle the situation.

The mention of him kissing other girls throughout the night is a highlight.
