Andy Collins v Shaun Grigg

What for? It's easier to get through to you in the simplest way.

GRIGG WOULD BE TOP 5 at Carltank

Close call on that one Bootsma, Buckley, and a few of this years picks for starters would be well ahead of Grigg but maybe he is starting 22 - but the VFL side is called Northern Blues not Carlton ;)

You do battle pretty hard. Bootsma is crap, who is Buckley?

no worries Battler, so in summary how'd things pan out between these spuds in your eyes...stay focused

Grigg got the opportunities he wanted in a side that needed his run. I have nothing against Grigg - except to say (seriously) he isn't starting 22 for Carlton as far as midfield goes....and that is not to put him down - he just isn't good enough to remove: Judd/Murphy/Scotland/Simpson/Waker/Gibbs/Carrazzo/Bell/Robinson from their roles.

Collins is a very likeable bloke - but his disposal at times really lets him down. He is hard at it and plays fair dinkum - but will find it hard to find a posy in top22.

Grigg wanted out - and from carlton's perspective no big loss and Collins was no big gain either - thats who I see it - not worth really commenting past the - neither are likely to be Premiership players.

Bolded the guy that he would easily replace.

Bell is 105 kilos who runs 20 in sub 3 and has massive aerobic capacity. Can and has kicked goals from 50, can and has smashed large bodied inside players ( Watson/Hayes) can and has already found space in numerous stoppages to kick goals , can and already has blocked or and run off other players - Grigg is in no way shape or form - an inside large bodied player .

the only thing that both players have in common is that both have suspect accuracy with regards to longer kicks to team mates - Grigg probably has ( and should have by this stage in his career) better decision making skills.

Watch out for Bell this year- even as a Rookie he will make a name for himself - especially when called in for certain match ups .;)

This is like comparing leprosy with cholera.

Two tearaways and future Brownlow winners for sure dude:thumbsu: Playing VFL mostly - like Grigg was for Carlton - which was the point.;)

So your point is that Carlton has NFI about which players should be playing senior games and those that should be in the VFL?

This is the reason Grigg up and left and his form over two seasons has proven him right and the Carlton coaches wrong, after all Grigg still has a career whereas the Carlton coaching staff of that period don't.;)

Watson was pwnt so badly he had no option but to bow down to Bell's awesomeness. :)

are you still mad about this pathetic swap? lol

What is there to be mad about ??? A shit and irrelevant player walked out, we got a shit and irrelevant player in return and both players shouldn't be on AFL lists by the end of 2014 (but Richmond will probably hold on to Grigg because they don't have anyone better).

Sad thing is both would be walk up starters at the Bulldogs :drunk:
