Based on them both being useless.

Kooyong has always had a prominent member representing them. Ryan has shown she is an empty vessel whilst Daniel just pushes what the ABC wants pushed.

But effectively they are goners for the same reasons a lot of Labor members are in trouble. It will be a bloodbath next election for Labor and the Teals will suffer along with them.
So, feels.

Some of you make me laugh. Do you want news readers reading out of a text book each night with no video?
Or a newspaper with no headlines and pages upon pages on the same story?
If the alternative is a "news" organisation that cops the biggest defamation payout in US history (four times the next biggest!) for telling literally thousands of lies about the 2020 US election result (after, mind you, they'd initially backed the election result but found they were losing viewers at the rate of knots - so it's now a proven fact that Fox viewers turn off when they hear the truth) - well, yes, I'd prefer the drabness of what you're suggesting here.

I'd like your honest answer - why do you never criticise a media organisation that has been shown in the most devastating fashion (ie their company bottom line taking a AU$1.2 billion defamation hit) to not be remotely interested in the truth, in fact corporately geared to provide the exact opposite of the truth?

By all means criticise all the other outlets. But realise that if News/Fox isn't in that list every time, your criticisms have zero credibility.

Locally he has been condemned as quiet when Feds were screwing public servants around and hasn't actually said or acheieved much until the electoral reforms impacted on his own job security other than flip flopping on the abc.

Pocock has not been in the Senate long enough for any of those issues to be even remotely linked to him.
The last time "the Feds" screwed Public servants was when the shitstained dog ****er Morrison was in the PM's chair.
Pocock was only elected in May 2022.
He is very outspoken on numerous Canberra issues and is as far from "quiet" as you could imagine.

Where are you getting this info?

We aint voting liberal though. Dutton sneers at us and as Howard said, you can’t fatten a pig on market day

Liberals have had swings towards in just 3 of the last 8 elections
Oh well, we shall see what happens then.
You can always blame Murdoch when she is ousted.

Yeah, I don't think Menzies or Deakin will be lost, unless it's to a Teal. Both might be susceptible to that being fairly green areas. Deakin was only just held, but I think the COL will be a bit whack to the ALP in those suburbs.

The redistribution is strange that its added Box Hill (Central) to Menzies, which is completely different in character to what Menzies electorate has always been.

Also added Mont Albert and Surrey Hills. Menzies is now a very diverse electorate, hard to predict.

If I were the LNP, I'd be more worried about Casey. A new teal candidate who got 8% as an independent last election. Electorate has 13% Greens and 8% UAP/ON. Not sure the MP has done enough to stop a further splintering from major parties to independents.

I would be very disappointed to lose Wolahan or Violi from the Parliament. Others mentioned tangentially not so much.

Ryan has a challenge because she has a significant portion of her new electorate that she will have no personal vote in. Who knows how much her election was a vote to remove Frydenberg or anti-Scomo. I just wouldn't be confident making any prediction in Kooyong.

And as I have argued before, a hung parliament this time around will present a much more difficult challenge to 2010-2013.

More challenging for the major party, but it's how Parliament was always intended to work, taking into account the needs of minor parties and independents.

Those two seem like decent enough people, but I'm not sure I trust the LNP (or ALP for that matter) to look after the Dandenongs and Yarra Valley - all the way through Menzies....

It's pretty ironic about the ALP having the 2PP advantage on environment, yet the only seats the LNP hold are the most environmentally sensitive areas of Melbourne (and Victoria, via the Nats for that matter). Which is why I think the Victorians are vulnerable to the direction the national party is taking.

living in Canberra taking to public servants and being a family of public servants.

2023 APS were screwed by a delayed and unfair pay offer that was entirely the ALPs fault. Note not as bad as the libs were but Pocock said nothing unlike the Greens senator pocock who fought hard.

Fair cal.
He may have been unheard regards the Public Service but hardly "screwd them over"
He is definitely not quiet and you know this if you live in Canberra.
I would say his focus is not on industrial relations.
He ran on the environment and holding politicians and high public servants to account.

You can always blame Murdoch when she is ousted.
Well yes. It’s only you that refuses to acknowledge Murdoch’s decades-long history of attempting to influence election outcomes.

I guess you think Eric Beecher and Paddy Manning don’t know what they’re talking about. (JOOI, how do your credentials stack up against those guys?)

He definitely didn't screw public servants, just sat quietly and watched Katy Gallagher (who is worse).do it

He has certainly started to talk about the terrible NACC (which was one of his platforms) but it is the same weak NACC he voted for.

Please note just because I think he will struggle to win as he could have done a lot more - he is still better in my opinion than the other options. I would personally vote

Teal or good independents
Green
Pocock
Moderate Lib
Katy Gallagher
Nuclear holocaust
ONP
Big Bang mk 2
Zesleja

The West Australian has an editorial today arguing that Albanese shouldn't have been wasting his time trying to get members of the Bali Nine back when he should be focused on cost of living. Like governments can't chew gum and walk at the same time. Trying to pretend our current media exists to summarise information and not direct the political narrative is either wilful or ignorant, pick your poison.

They must think the economy goes to hell every time he goes to the toilet to take a dump.
Keep that focus up Albo.

If people read that link they'd realise that small businesses are the biggest dodgers of tax, particularly individuals in business. Businesses doing cash work and not reporting income and also over reporting deductions.

And then it's individuals with bullshit work related deductions and those with rentals ripping off the system.
Apple and google……wave and say hi….

Damm those media magnates giving people a product they want to consume.

If only they just read what we told them they should read.
So instead you get an echo chamber telling people what they want to believe in not necessarily the truth. Sky News the classic example.
I have seen zero evidence any of the teals are in trouble. Where are you getting your info from?
Sky News probably. He doesn't pay attention to anything outside his echo chamber.
