Technically Steven May should be reported for this:

There is a slight amount of head/head contact.
Sad but unfortunately possible. There ears touched, 2 weeks

If Fyfe got 2 weeks, what would this get under today's rules?

Insufficient force. Nothing will happen there.Sad but unfortunately possible.

Looked like a shoulder rather than an elbow. Light contact so he might escape with a reprimand if they go for negligent.I figure if the AFL fairly applies the Fyfe Rule this week that there should be a fair few suspensions starting with McVeigh from Sydney (elbow to the head). I am sure there are others
Must have been some sh!t angles in the footage. Looked like almost no head to head contact from the couple of angles I saw on the afl website footage. He came off with a blood nose and a cut on his cheek. About the same as Rischitelli.

I think you may find you just don't get it;you are attempting to apply logic, rationality and propriety to a process which is entirely different. As did the Fyfe incident when you watched in real time.
Given May's was a harder hit than Fyfe, it's hard to see how it could be insufficient force as it was greater force.
The angles were different. May had time to pick his spot and ducked his head to the right. If he hadn't it would've been a pretty clear head clash I reckon. As did the Fyfe incident when you watched in real time.

That's sh!t. Pickett faked to contest the ball then absolutely drilled the poor bastard that was focused on the ball.
Will probably get called a softc0ck non-footy player for this, but I'm glad that kind of stuff has been eliminated from the game.
I think Heath Hocking's hit on Kade Simpson tonight must be reviewed based on the Fyfe scenario. It was accidental but high and left Simpson feeling his jaw.....could be handy for us but that would rely on the MRP being consistent and we all know how that ends
