Are St.Bede's U19's really that good?

Anyway st Bedes are looking forward to a challenge in the coming weeks, playing Banyule , Old Brighton ( 3rd on ladder ) and then Beaumaris ( 2nd on ladder ) !!!

It looks as though the dominace of this team has settled a little. Still killing em but not by as much.

Are other sides getting better or have the team lost a few to the seniors??

I suppose they would be loosing interest. I guess other teams should hope that they get so disinterested by finals they get a sniff.

I still don't understand why the VAFA won't promote the St Bedes Mentone Tigers into the Under 19s Premier Section. After all, if the Moorabin Saints Junior Football League can promote teams who are totally dominating the competition, why not the VAFA?

I think the VAFA have posted something on the website a while back explaining that the major reason behind this is ground schedualing. They didn't want to mess with the fixturing 4 rounds into the season!!

At junior level it is easier to do this. In the VAFA you have to account for senior sides playing on particular days.

Mate i agree, they should be in u19 Premier but you have to understand that its nearly impossible to put them up and put a team down... this is mainly due to team and ground clashes... a whole new fixture would need to be developed... i think this has been explained either earlier in this thread or the U19 (2) thread... also with the MSJFL, its much easier for them to promote teams as they have more ground avaliability and less teams, hope this helps answer your question!
