no my dear pineapple

I was suggesting a more community oriented dominant paradigm would be less harmful to the rock in space we inhabit

As opposed to the current

If anything more people needing electricity and food it would be worse for the environment?

Can we close this thread? Even some of the loony left on this board are against Communism which really shows how out of touch people are with reality for those who support the system. Communism has been responsible for the deaths of 50-60 million people.

Maybe someone should start a thread - Ask a Fascist? Two left wing ideologies clashing again. :)

Being one myself, I am having trouble comprehending how a Melbourne supporter can be a communist.

I would've expected this thread to be started by a Western Bulldog or Collingwood supporter or another user who supports a team of that socioeconomic background. XD

Also my understanding of Communism is that since you're working for the greater good of society (instead of for yourself), it doesn't encourage higher order workers to compete against each other (since they don't really reep any rewards from it).

Therefore, economic growth is shunted and society on the whole is poorer due to it.

At least with the capitalism society we have now, we tax the rich more than the poor to help ensure that the poor at least get some money through Centrelink and stuff.

Are there any wrong assumptions with what I said? (No asking rhetorically, honestly don't have a strong gasp on this subject).

Well my understanding is that in theory, everyone is looked after. 'From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.' The idea is that of course everyone gives of their best because it benefits the whole society. Its a great theory even if it has struggled in reality.

Do we?

From my understanding we do.

Or at least to an extent.

The latest tax statistics show 75 ultra-high-earning Australians paid no tax at all in 2011-12. Zero. Zip.

Each earned more than $1 million from investments or wages. Between them they made $195 million, an average of $2.6 million each.

Ah really? That's very shit of them to do.

Do they move their finances to an international bank or something to void paying taxes?
