Mate I'm going by how it's historically panned out, our biggest home and away game in Melbourne is something like 41 or 42k, I'm suggesting it's a little ridiculous to expect 10,000 on top of that will go just because the Tiges are playing some good footy at the moment.

FWIW I agree that the "Ross Lyon" effect coupled with a low supporter base in Melbourne will hurt, if it was Adelaide or West Coast I'd be inclined to agree with your 50k estimation. Good luck on the weekend, you won't need any though.

Long weekend, and Fremantle (even last year fremantle, pre Lyon) both are going to work against a 50k estimate. What ever we will get will be a good crowd, but if you are expecting over 50k then forget it.

MCG is estimating 40,000.

I was going to say that too... With kids under 12 getting in free (pre-registered) I'd think we'll get close to the 45K... I've got 3 little tackers coming with me, where I'd normally only be going by myself or with my son only... now I've got my 2 nephews tagging along too. 1 is a brainwashed Magpie (not unlike my 2 brainwasher Tiger kids) who I'm hoping might succumb to the Tiger Army on Saturday! Wooo!

Not only will I be there, but I've finally managed to drag a friend along for what will be her first game.

Knowing her, she'll support Freo just to be contrary (although I'll be draggng out an old scarf for her), but it's another body for the attendance count.

Ok, last year's Rnd7 attendance was 34,900 @MCG for a 4.10pm start.

Geez, the way we're playing at the moment, plus add on our increased membership of 50,000, plus "Free for Freo" entry for the kids on Saturday - I'd be inclined to add 15% to last seasons total, however less 5% due to families going away for the Queens Birthday long-weekend, .. so I'd guestimate 38, 389. Give or take.

Good atmosphere, many areas to view and depends on what games are on as to where we all sit. Basically family friendly but has a good TAB inbetween lounge area and main bar/beer garden area. I'm heading along with my kids and I know there will be three or four other Tigers that are regulars at the games. Good atmosphere to go off in - I am renowned for letting my presence being heard!! Look up the WA Tigers supporters club on Facebook.
