Aurelio Vidmar won't be here next season

Yeah last season when we started losing it was brought up but before that we've basically played the same style (with better players) and no one really had any problem with it apart from ray.

I cannot begin to tell you how wrong that is. Most people with half a footballing brain kept saying how lucky we were to be winning and how we needed to change the garbage style that we played. It was clear as day we couldnt play in the same fashion as the ACL the one guy who could change is was either too stubborn or stupid to fix it.

This year all thats different is that people are saying "We told you so" instead of "**** we were lucky to win that game"

Interesting that you seem to be speaking from a point of authority about posts from 2007 despite registering a year ago.

Last season i brought this up and other things like having a thin squad, low fitness base/lack of professionalism etc and you and DB were totally were totally adamant results were all that counted which we were getting at the time.

The majority of regular long-time Adelaide United posters on here have been against Vidmar and his awful style of play since 2007. We're not even talking about last season, we're talking since pretty much the first game he was in charge there have been criticisms of it and criticisms of him.

Most of us didn't even want him appointed. And before you come back with one of your typical "well I saw it as ..." posts, go back and have a look. Aurelio Vidmar has never had the support of these Adelaide United fans. Just grudging tolerance.

his first season was actually ok style wise just not that successful, posters not liking him or his appointment is a different issue, i dont think there was the criticism of the playing style (and other things) when we were successful and you do, so we'll agree to disagree. Ill-advised and a poor attempt at humour but hardly the makings of World War 3 - The Football War. It was a dumb question regarding what Aurelio might do to his struggling strikers. His answer was "what do you want me to do to them...".

The thing is though, do they behead criminals in Saudi Arabia? Yes they do as well as chopping hands off for the high crimes of stealing. So is Aurelio out of line to bring up a true event happening in another country to appease a journalist who seemingly wants blood instead of goals?

Why should Saudi Arabia get upset over someone bringing up something that is part of their justice system? Are they ashamed of it and hate when someone from another country mentions it?

Seriously people need to build a bridge and get over it because this is much ado about nothing.
