I didn't even know this game was at the G. I might've gotten some work out of the way and headed down this arvo if I'd known :(

Can we send Rahul back to Bengaluru on the next available flight ?

Since when is the bloke an opener in 4 day cricket? I know he's done it in t20 but has he ever opened domestically?

He has opened the batting in about 50 of his Tests. It was mostly around the Dhawan/Agarwal/Rohit era, pre Yash and Shubman.

It’s more like he’s aging. And I’d rather have younger players in and given this India A opportunity rather someone who might be on their last trip to Australia

If a bowler spot opened up for the first test (or others), is Neser ahead of Boland?

He's had a great start to the season. If they go Mcsweeny weight of runs for the batters, does the same follow for the bowlers?

All-rounder spot...

They probably still go Boland but either or does it matter

Not an AR at test level. Why people continue to want to reduce our batting with a solid no8 playing at 6/7 I’ll never know. Let’s not pretend at test level Carey has been Gilchrist like

He scored a 100 against us in Sydney 2015 as an opener before he started focusing on T20.

I'm curious about the outside view of Webster's bowling. Do people think it'd be worth much at an international level?

No more than Marsh, but that's on a best case scenario. Nowhere near Green's quality with the ball.

Actually think if there is a spot in the test team for Webster it would be Marsh mainly because he breaks down with injuries so often. But just wonder about this selected Indian A batting side, does not look very good.Sure there was a bit in the wicket earlier but the last couple of dismissals poor shots.

I'd personally go Hardie, for me he's a significantly better talent and also the right age profile.
