What I meant to say is that if the people being critical of her are correct about her motivations, they're giving her the attention that she wants.

If they're not right though - if she's genuinely upset and blaming herself for her husbands failings, and if "we" are effectively calling her an attention-seeking gold digger - then yes, that would constitute sexism, because no one would level the same accusation toward a male in the same situation.

This is why crime is so rampant. No-one is allowed to stand up for anyone else anymore. People will sit back and watch one person bash another, because they are too afraid of it happening to them, or being sued by the person doing the bashing.

Then civil liberatians like you come along, and criticise anyone standing up for what is right. People should be allowed to walk somewhere without being hassled.
