That looks worse than the last weekend I gave them, the most appropriately and ironically title "weekend of death" in April last year.

Another of their talent - who is also reigning DREAM champion, and a bloke who was at one stage announced as part of the leadership team taking DMDU forward - "withdrew" last night due to "personal circumstances".

Problem is we've seen it happen more than enough times in DMDU to know what that means.

Can't wait for them to tarnish the name of "wrestling" in another venue when the bleed on the floor.

That's a given, hell I saw with my own eyes a member of the DMDU roster leave blood and bloody things used to seal cuts in a sink at one venue and it's a story that's gone around that the last show at Arrow ended with bloody handprints on a wall.

The venue has potential and I'd hoped a better promotion would find it first. Not Bateman and his travelling shitfight.

I know Dusk is known for being a good promo but this is next level work. Hanging on every word.

MCW are really building for Endgame, i really hope it delivers I’m so worried we’ll just get a swerve ending.

I missed when you all were talking about Slex and his injury, but I hope he doesn’t miss endgame. Hope he’s okay.

He's lost in his promo accent. It's starting to frustrate me a little bit. Not half as much as I suspect it's probably starting to frustrate him.

I popped hard for this.

It will 'never happen again'.

That killed me man, incredible satire :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

there's a few bits missing.

"We will return in 2025. we know this year hasn't been the best year for us with postpones. and (we're) cancelling shows next year. When we return we (can't) promise it will never happen again.

See you all in 2025 (so we can play the role of 'wallet inspector' once again)"

Cancelled more shows than they’ve ran at this point?

It has been 5 or 6 events that have been announced and cancelled since 2022 which doesn't seem huge but Fivey only usually runs 2-3 events a year so he's cancelling almost everything he's announcing. The shocking number is the amount of internationals cancelled, that number is now over 20. I've mentioned before but the internationals that do make it to Australia are often treated poorly with either money not being there or some wrestlers even being put in share hostels like a backpacker.

The internationals thing is so strange, it seems every show he has he needs to have at least one but a lot of the time they aren't really anyone who people would know. It really does seem like a creepy guy trying to take advantage of young women's wrestlers in a foreign country.

I'm just a bloke on a forum but my advice would be for him to book a 5 match card with 10 young wrestlers and try to turn a profit. No need for internationals or 20 interstate guys or 40 wrestlers, just do a basic 5 match card that won't break the bank.

Or better yet, leave the business for good...

Genuinely can’t believe they managed to ever run again.

Even if the rumours of it being new management are true, why would you just not rebrand??

Why would you book bateman????
The 'new management' is Joel Bateman in a fake mustache and wearing a monocle. The only thing new about it is his 'business partners" quitting after realising they have been swindled

I have no issue with deathmatch wrestling, but i really just hope they dry up and go away.

It was something so promising in the beginning and now it just feels like a stain that can’t get washed out.

2 of the 4 people announced as their new leadership about 12 months ago weren't even at their biggest show of the year/their return to trying to be a real promotion.

Oh i hope he’s just doing some international work or maybe just having a break?

He is surely not hanging it up.

Looks like it's just an RCW hiatus - he's already been announced for SLAM's show in Feb next year. Which I think is the week before AEW and the Australian Supershow...
