Forget how we got in that position for the moment. The fact a bunch of kids and a few older heads managed to hang on at the end there against a team loaded with experienced players is worth more than the four points. I hope a few of them took a bunch of confidence and self belief out of that. It's not easy to do in those clutch moments, particularly when playing on guys that have experienced it much, much more.

Feels good to win when we play terribly, especially against St. Failda.

They've got a strong core of players set to retire soon as well. We should dominate them for the next 5 years.

I disagree. Competed ok in the ruck. Took 2 contested. Kicked 1 from 50. Is starting to work a long way up the ground which shows he's building a tank.
Actually thought he competed well in the ruck and around the ground.

Sad to see some of the so called Doggies supporters here hanging shit on certain players. It was a tough and mental game tonight. The best team won, only just, but they one for goodness sake. What I liked, goals to Dale, McLean and Webb, all first year players, all at crucial times of the game. What I really liked Easton Wood you are a star, simple as that!

wow. wat a game credit to doggies.this will instill good confidence going forward.. eadton wood you star!!!!!!.. i wanted to blast the saints after our win. but they deserve respect ...

They're better then I thought this year, but no riewoldt and montagna and they're nowhere tonight.

We do still rely on Bob and a couple of others so we're not immune from that criticism, but it feels like we're getting less reliant. I hope so anyway.

Very poor game from our boys but scrapped over the line in the end sometimes you just need to win ugly. Thought McLean Stevens wood and macrae were outstanding tonight
The main board is so full of pathetic whingers, get so sick of saints and dees being talked about as young teams when half there team each week is 26+

I have no idea why shit sides always seem to get their back up and play out of their skins when they play us. It's strange. Great defence all round tonight, we went into our shell when we got 20 points up there, need to put the foot down in those situations. Thought collectively our big 3; Minson, Boyd and Roughy all offered very little and it showed. Wood was huge. Thought Roberts and McLean were very good. McLean is going to be a very good player.

Need Crameri back in. If Boyd and Stringer are having off games and if Dickson is playing up field then we need another scoring option. He would've kicked his 2-3 tonight had he of played.

Kudos to St Kilda too. Don't have a strong list but their effort is better than anyone's. I still hate them, though.

Take the 4 points and move on.

I prefer Toyd in the forward line where he was reasonable tonight, in the ruck I thought he was a liability and certainly ran out of steam in the last quarter when we really needed him to stand up.

Toby McLean will be a superstar. Hard to believe we got a Jack Billings with pick 26 when the Saints had to burn pick 3 to get one.

True, our rebounding would've been very dodgy without Murph tonight.

The thing is, Murph could play til he's 40. He's got that lanky bodyshape which gives him that extra longevity.
