AW and that shoulder

Just "pretty" strong?

I don't really like the pre-justification of "we are confrotable with" either.

I hope this is more than just crossing fingers and hoping he does well with rehab.

Curiously, no mention of what the actual injury was.........not that I doubt your version EB.

BTW, a shoulder with "no structural damage" does not "just pop out".

:thumbsu:

I'm not one hundred percent sure....I think the best way to answer that, is that there is no additional structural damage, you would have to ask a physio or sports doctor / surgeon. Apparently it is common for the shoulder to pop out and the surgeon was waiting for it to happen sooner than it did...

Anyway I think the fact that Icke said in todays paper he would only be in the rehab group for a week reflects it is not serious...sorry I can't explain it any better, but we didn't really get in to specifics

EB, are you also DOA?

BTW, apparently AW trained the house down today, so he can't be that badly injured if they're already letting him do most of the work.

Apropos of nothing, I love this TC/BF secret identity thing.....what's the flowering deal...its not like the stonemasons or anything.....tip, I'm Gilly on TC too :rolleyes:.

I reckon all TC'ers should just out themselves on BF with their corresponding usernames ;):)

 :D

In itself half the reason I avoid TC, in addition you need to say "flower" 600 times and make 400 Tigers "in the box seat" comments to be considered part of the crew.

They may have half a dozen quality posters, but they are surrounded by a hell of a lot of dingbat sheep.

And all they do is say what a flowering shite site BF is and that its full off morons.

Every major message board is like that though.

On here we may or may not have dingbats......but they do not repeat eachothers words/sayings/slang like sheep.

Of course with the exception of the emu tag sticking - but that at least had quality, truth and humour to it :thumbsu:

TC is far worse than BF in this regard

I hope his shoulders don't have a case of Coughlanitis... Always sad to see a young kid not getting the chance to show their potential.

I like TC and I like BF.....they both have their place for me.

TC does have some cliqueiness and repetitive in-jokes, but for a simple mind like mine they still amuse me more often that not. THe training reports seem a bit more frequent and the draft board is free of most of the opposition nongs you get on the BF drafts board. Probably a wider range of OT stuff than the Blue Room.

What he said. The main fact that the discussion is so Carlton central and free from opposition trolls is great and we can get a meaningful discussion happening.

I also find - on average - the posters to be more knowledgeable over there ranging from everything about the players, to gameplan to inside sources (;)). Its a good place to be for a Carlton supporter and I like it better than bigfooty to be honest.

Are WIGGINS and GIBBS eligible for the Rising Star award?
I was looking forward to seeing a fully fit Andrew Walker actually play a full season for a change, hopefully it's nothing serious.

But you have to look at the positives. It just means that there is a free spot around the half forward line / wing for Jordan Russell. After improving last year (yes, he did improve) and with another pre-season under his belt, Russell will be ready to make an impact.

So there's always a silver lining :)
Thanks Parrot. :)
No mate it always hurts and the more it happens the more likely it is it will happen again and hurt more.

Quite a good pain threshold is needed to play when your shoulder has popped out, its an even harder skill to have to play reasonable football knowing your shoulder can go at any time.

if surgery is required best to do it from the start, but i wish him all the best
Porplyzia played well with a shoulder that kept coming out, so a few players have played through the pain and had a good season.

Even though there was no additional structural damage, Walker must be pretty strong to be doing pushups and participating in training 5 days after he dislocated his shoulder.

Or foolhardy...

Good news.
Maybe the dislocation was not as bad as first thought?
I hate to see you blokes win but I also hate to see players plagued by injury. Hope he comes good.

I think Walks is important enough to the team that the club would not allow him to train at that level, ie push ups and the like, if there was any real risk that he would do further, permenant or serious damage to his shoulder. I reckon he should be right to go, especially for round 1.

You don't see that every day
Cheers!
