rovers vs melb
OM's came out of the block with rovers caught spectating a bit of the first qtr, clawed back to be dead even at half time.. even third quater awell OM's up by 8 points or so at the last change
cream rose to the top tho, OM's dominated last qtr

they are the best team ive seen so far this year.. they have very good depth from what i saw in the reserves aswell.

Out at Righetti yesterday to see SKOB get the job done.....would love to hear other opinions (Sausage roll) but thought the Wellers took their eyes off the ball and started playing the man. Especially number 4 who seemed to oscillate between not getting a touch and handing out cheap shots.

OCam coaches must have been at another game! See they listed him amongst the best;)

I thought Can't Kingsley was a shocker. Refused to chase, sprayed his midfield if it wasn't lace out, got there at just after one, didn't give any off, missed some absolute sodas and was gifted 3 by the umpires.
I hope to God that he trains hard twice a week otherwise if I was coaching it would be GTFOOH.
Camberwell were good but ran out of puff early in the third, they appear to be a little underdone but are a pretty talented team.
Would not surprise if they make the four.
SKOB played with a St Bede's like intensity in the second half. If they can play that way for 4 quarters every week, hit some targets and learn to not kick to a contest they will be in A Section next season.

They must have improved truck loads in a week cos they were a ordinary against O.H. At this stage O.M's and St. BS are the two most likely to move up in my book.

Has got a week or two in the past Hendrie has, but has improved as a player over the last few years. Interesting to see him listed as best when his direct opponent Charles carved him up in the second half and was one of the reasons why SKOB got back on top, amongst the dust that is Righetti

Only saw the last half and skob were very good. Tackled hard, run harder and looked far superior to me. Well done.

Always good to be humble winners and not bag the opposition as these things have a habit of rebounding in peoples faces later in the year.

Charles appeared to play very well in the short time i was there and can't comment on your other observations

OH going down to the winless Old C continues to show where the club is at.

With games against Ormond and HR over next 2 weeks this will show where the club will be in 2010.

Obviously with the 'Marquee' tethering in the wind at the moment, finally some opportunities have been afforded to some young kids to show their stuff on the main stage. Whether they are up to it or can stay there and build their senior game skills will be interesting. As stated earlier these will be the guys the club will put under the pump to get them out of their mess in the 2nd half of '09.

Im not getting carried away with the performance .... I dont think OMs would have seen anything to worry about; just making an observation. Having said that I would be surpised if the OC coach didnt hand out a spray that was similar to mine... certainly from the send off and various down the field free kicks the umps saw the same things. Was just curious to hear if you thought that the visitors took their eyes off the ball. PS thought Kingsley was OK.....kicking was no good but marked strongly, often against two or three. Would love to have him at SKOB.

Super win by the Bernies on the weekend. Smashed a shell shocked Blacks in the first quarter. Game was over at quarter time.

I think the curse of the Snake Pit is well and truly alive.

very good start and very good win overall.
another two excellent debuts from 2 under 19 players

Well done to J Evans and Ben Jordan 200 and 100 games respectively.

Not suggesting you are getting carried away with the performance . Skob should be excited wihtn the way they are playing

I am sure your comments re hendrie and the others have been duly noted.
Humble in victory and gracious in defeat..always a good motto!

Youre talking shi t snag, you saw the way they carried on, its got nothing to do with gloating, OC are a good bunch of blokes except number 3. Even you have to admit that.

You misread what I was saying. Im not saying they will or wont, it was more a comment on the footy they played in the second half, nothing more.
If OH didnt have Harvey and his 17 kicks in the last q last week, SKOB would be 6-0 and OH staring at the trap door.

Bernies must be flying at the moment. Such a young team doing so well. That is a massive win against blacks.
I've heard that a lot of their guns haven't payed yet as well. Can anyone fill me in to the acuraccy of this report?

Be carefull what you wish for Brain . There has been better sides with much better lists go up and find it hard . Take your rose coloured glasses off and take a realistic look at some of the teams in B section and the standard of competition . Take the Snowies for an example had a much better list last year and have only had one loss . Too many easy results i'm afraid.

Thats great to hear but when did it return Chris ,it must have been sometime after the last round last year ?

Briza,

I can't wok out where i am talking sh it. A comment was made saying c'well guys took their eye off the ball and went the man and i said it would have been duly noted by the people concerned. Which it would have been, so what is wrong with that?

I suggested that when you win it is often better to say nothing against the opposition. Where's the sh it I'm talking?
I also complimented skob on the way they played after half time

As for no 3 Briza, I don't know the man and have never met him so I really can't comment on what type of guy he is.

Sorry snag, I thought you were saying OC have long memories or words to that effect.
Im not sure anyone has bagged OC, as stated they are a nice bunch of lads, Ziggy is a champ and Emmy is a great fellow.

There is one thing I am very concerned about though, and that is 'The Doc'. He looked out of form on the weekend, was squatting on one leg instead of two and wondered into the SKOB rooms after the games thinking it was OC's. Is he okay?

Partington is a huge loss, I rate him massively. Speaking of massive, is number 7 the ex Port ruckman?
If Loater can get some continuity in the team they will be a force.

Read my later post Handjob. There are no easy results in this section this year, Snowies looking really good.

Good motto for sure....particularly if you want splinters in your arse. If you cant give an honest apprasial (without being ridicolous & crass I might add) on a annoymous internet forum then geez.

Been on this site way too much already this week.

ps Im quite sure Hendrie etc would not give a stuff about what is posted.

Saw OM's on the weekend with a full team i believe and they were very handy. Rovers showed a fair bit and kept with them up until the 10 minute mark of the last and then OM's piled on a heap of goals to make the end margin not reflect the closeness of the game. There number 3 and 12 are classy players. Greene was the only ex AFL player that had any influence. Definitely the best team we have played for the year.
