When will VAFA sides such as OCam realise that playing ex Afl players who wont do the work on the track , who only make themselves available when it suits them and dont have a genuine interest in the club at the expense of their younger players promotion into the senior side is a recipe for relegation .The warning signs for OCam were appearing during pre season last year .Appointing the new coach has only reinforced the bad culture down there .

Handles, thanks for your informed opinion.

I suppose these players you refer to are holding back all thsoe gun young players in the twos.

The reserves are 0-6, just for the record and they have been playing several under 19's each week.

So what you are saying its ok for the ex Afl guys who dont give a rats to play if your reserves are full of nuffies . I am generally concerned for the longevity of your club when these so called super stars take off after fullfilling their playing responsibilities in repaying the club and or sponsor for whatever enducements they have received [ s****** ] to play with your club . Surely your hierarchy plans longer term than just this year and obviously has no idea about list management . By the by are your clubbies as strong as ever?

lot of b section players at the top end which is good to see

Snag,
from Cubzy's post history it is quite clear that he is NOT a SKOB player, he is in fact associated with Hampton Rovers.
I'm with Cardio Carl, he is a stirrer on the forum and Carl has ratted out another rat again, well done old son!

??????
what does StKevins have to do with me?.. u may have me confused with someone else

Jeez relax mate, which U19s played in the ressies?
Maybe you're thinking of U18s
ps. that's not several each week

Which bit of I meant in the seniors don't you get? Would play more if they(you guys) were more willing is what I hear.

Uner 18's are also, by defintion under 19's especially given the VAFA let them rotate between teams.

Clubbies forfieted a few weeks back from memory..didn't they?

Sorry missed the seniors bit

Very touching to hear your "concern". I am nearly driven to tears!

The club is just trying to get as many good palayers as possible( like all clubs). You orinially said that the AFL guys are there at the expense of younger players which is just not true.
What do you want them to do, say go away the afl guys, the club doesn't need you?

The clubbies forfeited a few weeks back

Handles are you serious or just delerious?
You've been taken in by a pair of Sandy Bobs (think about it) wannabees who don't know what they're talking about. Both claim to know everything and everyone, but know stuff all.
There have been no harder workers round the club this year than the ex AFL players, been on the track, served tucker on a Thursday night and acted as waiters at club luncheons and are approachable to both players and supporters. And I'd expect all of them will be at the Elgin tonight supporting the club and its sponsors!
OC do have problems, the same as any amateur club, of last years midfield and onballers very few remain. Couple are injured, some left for pay for play, some touring or pursuing other interests, one has only played a couple of games and one is , probably Snags biggest bone of contention, considering he played all 20 in the seniors last year, apparently doing a Nathan Ablett and playing with his mates in the u/19s
Unfortunately the clubbies had to forfeit a game, this was due to the fact that the club has had an extraordinary number of injuries and blokes who would normally play clubbies are in the twos
So Handles I'd strogly suggest that you go back onto your prescribed medication of sheet canning your own club before you attack another

i think his club is in another thread

u gotta give it too old h, he knows how to stir the pot

he is a bit like craig hutchinson (no offence to hutchy)

getting back to this week

Ocamb v Bernards- Which oval is it on? top or bottom. PLaying on that top one last year was just silly. You couldn't see players running around on the far wing the slope was that bad.
Bernards by 5 goals

OH v Ormond- both sit with 2wins/4losses, crunch game for both. Need to win not too lose touch. Will tip OH at home, big home ground advantage against the newly promoted side.
OH by 6 goals

Blacks v Carey- 5th v 10th. Watched blacks last week and they wern't great. Had a few key players out so expect them to bounce back at uni oval.
Blacks by 25 points

SKOB v OM's- 1v2. Match of the round. I will go out on a limb here and make OM's my lock of the week away at spaghetti.
Havent seen SKOB this yr but OM's very super a few rounds back.
OM's by 10 points

Trinity v Hampton- Will go with an upset here at Trinity fields and tip Hampton. Dont know why.
Hampton by 21 points.

Lock of the week- OM's at Rhegetti

Good luck to all.

ML
