See above..UN Deal. ;)

Have a good weekend all.

nice to see your editing bob....

i think griff was just taking the p1ss,.... relax... i dont think he is cocky at all, all of the talk about skob at the moment (and probably rightly so)

if they are resting blokes on saturday, who cares.... no need to make excuses for something that hasn't happened yet. Practice matches are exactly that

OEG V Blacks.

Final score OEG 7 14 were defeated by UNI 12 9.

Good hit out for both sides, students seem to start with all guns blazing.OEG very inaccurate but kept going all day.

Did OEG have many out. Did the big Hak play?

Carey beat Caulfield by 7 points.

given that caulfield only had 1 loss before finals last year, and Carey (dont worry about all there new stars) narrowly missed relegation, I would say that result was thereabouts what you would expect.

Carey have been the big winners over the off season, but all teams take a while to mesh when there are a lot of changes.

mhsob v lower plenty fight votes:

3 votes - budgey: met expectations but didnt exceed them - i guess thats what happens when you set such loft standards. loves it rough and dirty. the rougher the better for this wily veteran. used his frame to perfection when throwing haymakers but needs to work on his verbal abuse, often unable to string a few words together, with proper english taking a backseat to mumbling, grunts and war cries. still, polished performance and can only improve with this fight under his belt.

2 votes - tekken: if he can get his opponents to the ground, its hammer time. the self-proclaimed prince of the braz-jit melbourne underworld - this vietnamese sensation (think jurrah but with better grasp of the english language and with a criminal record in thailand) spent his pre-season perfecting his arm bar and he's not afraid to use it. on the other hand, if the fight is standing up - tekken will get tekkened. then again, if it was a battle of binge-drinking, tekken would get the nod as hes been heard to mutter "i dont drink to enjoy, i only binge-drink, i am king, look at my pecs glisten"

1 vote - brainy: this deluded old-timer think he still has it but he actually doesn't. needs to chose between retirement villages before all the good spots are taken. regardless, provided much needed comic relief during the fight with the lower plenty trainer, engaging in a verbal back and forth that he no doubt dominated mainly due to the sub-par iq of his opponent. hopefully he can find his calling in pointless verbal stouches for the rest of his dwindling career, because his on-field performances are worse than my mums feeble attempt at minestrone soup last night (dont care if its your mum's recipe mum, can that shit).

until next fight...

i dont get it?

was a full team v team fight in the 2nd mhsob praccy match after a young talent bravely took a dog hit for his team...

this is the official votes just from the fight as decided by the match committee, completely separate to the game votes

The bloods could be in for a long 2010 after a close encounter with the much maligned Beaumaris down at Shark Park, The boys from badlands managed to get up by 20 points in the main game while the magoos put in a disgraceful display losing by 180 points.

was at oeg on saturday bit of racial villification of an oeg player. sorted out after the game with a handshake though and a word from the umpire

what did he allegedly say? and to whom?

Don't worry about the 'allegedly' Murph, it was said by Bolton in the first quarter to one of our new players (came over from Tassie) and was heard by many players around the incident. They had been heavily physically targeting him after he had done a portion of the pre season with Uni Blacks and ended up choosing OEG over Uni. Resulted in a pretty decent dust up.

Great to see he didnt go to Blacks, they seem to think they are the VAFA club of choice....how wrong they are!

Yes, Matt Lucas has returned to SKOB, along with Ben Altis and a few other lads.
I also note that Rupert Betheras has registered with MHSOB, isnt he an old De La boy?

Watched three quarters of what was a very entertaining game at the Pit then caught the last quarter on the way home at OEG .The major differrence between the two games that i saw is body size .Blacks are a big side with Oeg even bigger and if Skobs and Snowies cant produce some thicker taller bodies in good weather they could have some issues with match ups during the season.

Good point Handles but on ballers win premierships at VAFA level. Im pretty sure Bernies and SKOB had around 8 firsts players each who didnt suit up, will be an interesting season, bring it on!

I did not realize that the OEG player had trained with uni blacks but decided to play with OEG.It was so obvious that they had come to lets say teach him a lesson. The guy would be one of the smallest on the field in any game,he was punched, belted everytime he went near the ball.
The oeg players were trying to protect him however they could not stop the unsavoury incident that followed.
This was a practice match and his second game with oeg and the vafa.

Blacks had a big sook last year about an incident against Ormond twos which ws an accident, but Ormond suspended the player for 3 weeks to stop the blacks sooking. No good that mob.
