The reason why STb are in B section is they played the last 6 games last year with half their 2's side in the ones. Before that they were pushing for a finals berth.

Geez - you gotta feel sympathy for the Snowdogs, such an unforseen and devastating set of circumstances conspiring to send them to B section for 2008.

Maybe they should re-jig the sections after round 6 and substitute Bernies back into A grade for the bottom placed side?

No Mr Pineapple, was just giving an example (and having a little stab at my old mate handles).

Again, the main purpose of my post.... Both teams 2-0 and happy to be there. Just found it funny that after two good wins, lots of talk about St B's was negative (and, correct me if i am wrong, most of the culprits seemed to have an pro-OEG flavour intheir remarks).

If the banter on this thing and the general rivalry between the two teams is anything to go by... there should be a few there at windy hill come r5.

Happy punting gents

Ageed, I must admit I first thought HBW had plucked one from left field, however it was an interesting stat nonetheless. But as they say you can find a stat to prove anything.

At the end of the day, the OEG/St Bernards rivalry is good for football.

Just a shame it's not in A Grade.

PS. Nothing wrong with a little stab either. Was very interesting to see Handles in the crowd at Marcellin in Rd1. But was surprised to see him with a match-up board? Wonder what his thoughts are on the current AFL rotation issue?

If I recall, was it last season when St Bernard's were also complaining about unfair treatment at the tribunal?

This weekend they will also complain that the Australian Jockey Club is colluding with the VAFA and holding the traditional Easter racing carnival during the VAFA home and away season.

But Round 5 will be a cracker! Crime Stoppers have already rostered on additional call centre staff to deal with the expected influx of callers reporting sightings of the St Bernard's contingent.

If the football was so bad over the weekend why is it that the boys outscored OH by5-6 goals after quater time to WIN THE GAME. Keep disrespecting the dogs mate, itll bite you on the ass.

the dogs are in quite good form.
they proved they will be top of B section this year agaisnt OH. but how good is OH??
i think the real test will be the big match at windy hill.

after that we will be deciding how good the dogs and the bombers really are.

Hailb are ok and will be much better when Chisolm, Trollope and co come back. As for the St Bern /OEG rivalry, what rivalry? ... they have NEVER played each other ... what happens in rd 5 wont matter as St Bern wont hit top speed until rd 8 with quite a few to come in and ... more importantly the grammarwobbles dont kick in until Sept. Been changing coaches for years to avoid facing up to reality ... ther pampered boys are piss weak kids when it counts. I know they have 'bought' in some hired guns to cover the cracks but still wont be able to hide the group choking that will build in the throat around Aug.

firstly, must agree with TA, farting in an elevator is hilarious
secondly, i think the rivalry goes past vafa football and even the schools with many players not actually going to the school they play for but who cares? rivalry is great for football, they even have a whole round for it in the afl (even if half of them are a little contrtived). just enjoy it boys. plus thats still weeks away, any thoughts on this weeks matches....
marcellin at bernards should be interesting and skevs desperately need a win and can anyone see beauy upsetting pegs??

OEG V Beaumaris @ Keilor Hill - 33 points
OC V OMs @ Gordan Ramsay Reserve - 11 points
SKOB V Old Carey @ The Rat Cage - 4 points
St Bernards V Marcellin @ The Snake Pit - 25 points
Caulfield V Haileybury @ VAFA HQ - 21 points

OEG v Sharks - The wait is over. Condos will make his long awaited debut, i will give him a target of 6 first up. OEG by 58 otherwise its the Misfud bandwagon.
Wellers v OMs - Tough one to pick. Hilton out? Kingsley doesnt know where to aim. OMs are in pretty good form got within a couple of goals in the last qtr v OEG. OMs by 5pts.
SKOB v Dick Carey - My boys have hurt my tips last 2 weeks but will bounce back at the RatCage by 2 goals. Will Dutchy Holland's shoulders fit thru the away room door?
Bernies v Eagles - Another shootout for the Dogs? The current line is 235, i might go the overs. By 26pts.
Caul v Keysborough - An extras days rest for the old boys at Hail should be enough to get them across the line by 17pts.

Is Holland even playing this year? He hasn't played yet. Camberwell will win comfortably, look for them to get some midfielders back over the next few. Sharks by 3pts with Condos not playing.

Yeah they should make a bold bid for selection in the clubbies match against Old Geelong. Make sure that Strong bloke unstraps the yellow yacht tied to his a*s before he goes onto the field.
