guys i just want to suggest something. i am in no way involved with any club in the ammo's anymore just like to go around and enjoy good football. but it seems to me that the people coming on here and spreading rubbish about st bedes and ajax might not be from either of those clubs? just doesnt seem like it would be a good thing from either of them to do when they just got promoted and are still to prove themselves. maybe their rivals such as parkdale, beaumaris or hampton or just people who want to tarnish both or one of the clubs on here. i really want to find out though cos im sure both clubs would not be happy with any of the tripe on here. thats all i got

SMG,

As I said in my first post on this subject, I didn't want all your little mates coming along and calling me names, it is only a suggestion. All I want is humour and orginality and by calling someone a bogan it's neither.

Have fun on the harbour in your jeans with cut out cheeks.

Regards

Surly

PS TBP has SMG got a picture of you blowing a goat?

PSS If you read through my posts I do not talk up SBMT!

Geez you really are a clown... have a good look at who I was repsonding to!

The problem with you JT, sorry I mean Surly, is that you're bringing bogan back!

Please walk away now before you make a real fool of yourself!

You have shown your lack of class here, Surly (or is that James Tyquin hiding behind your user name..?). Can't even see you but I can already tell you are the bogan of all bogans!!!

Just for the record Big Pineapple and to keep me at rest, are you as developed over there in Keilor as to picking up some television satellite in your neighbourhood or do you walk around with the radio in the back pocket and your head fair up your arse.

From previous posts i have gathered that you aren't to keen on the lads from STBMT, however, and please correct me if i am wrong but i read this in the back of the paper that they were able to get up over Caufield by 8 goals, whom i also hear were finalists in B Grade.
Maybe you should keep your pecker shut and keep your interests directed at whats going on, on the other side of town, or as i know it as being, the town of Keilor, also known as the rough end of the stick, now i can see why you wine and wine.

Even though last weeks OEG game was a little one-sided, it's given me a taste for B grade footy. Unfortunately my work takes me all over Melbourne at inconvenient times (got called out at ten to four this morning) but the flipside is there's usually footy not far from where I'll be.

I might just catch some of the SBMT vs SKOBS match if I finish the job on Saturday in time, give me a good start on sorting out the hype from the tripe.

I still think SKOBS are no chance this week end, not even close.

No hype, wouldn't even be able to name one single bogan from St Bedes, it's just ST kevs are that bad!

SF,

Let's get a few things straight here...

I have no problem with the people from St Bogans Mentone. What I have a problem with is the absolute rubbish that a select few have posted on here over the past few months. Agreed, St Bogans Mentone had a good year last year. Agreed, St Bogans Mentone had a good win in round 1. But there are 7 or 8 teams in the same boat as St Bogan's Mentone that will be hoping to play finals in 2007. You don't hear Ajax talking tough, you don't hear Marcellin or OM's saying "we shouldn't be here blah blah blah." You have 9 teams quietly going about their business except for St Bogans Mentone.

That is what I have a problem!

For what it's worth here are TBP's for this week:

OEG by 7 goals V Beaumaris @ Keilor Hill
Uni Blacks by 5 goals V Caulfield @ The Racecourse
OM's by 11 goals V MHSOB @ MHSOB
St Bogan's Mentone by 9 goals V SKOBS @ Righetti
Marcellin by 4 goals V Ajax @ VAFA HQ in match of the round.

Cougar,

I dont do slab bets, in fact I am not a big gambler at all - however when some bloke after Round 1 wants to a) talk his club up so much b) pot SKOB so readily and easily and write them off they must be able to offer some 'juicy' odds of which I would like to have a crack at !!!! ............ but Cougar you are more than disappointing in your offer.

Stick to taking cheap pot shots because as a bookie you are useless !!!!

Thanks god we have someone talking sense at last. Can you guys who are posting all the crap about St Bogans Mentone give us something good to read. Lets hear more tips and ammos news rather than tales that no-one cares to read about at all.

My tips for what its worth

OEG by 12 goals V Beaumaris
Uni Blacks by 11 Points V Caulfield
OM's by 15 goals V MHSOB
SBMT 13 goals V SKOBS
Ajax by 8 points v Marcellin

I'll stop potting SKOBS when they actually win something.
I have no affiliation with St Bedes, although I think their jumpers a kinda funky.
And yes you are right, as a bookie I am useless. (hence the slab bet)
Either lighten up pal or grow a thicker skin!

With the mighty Lions progressing from B last year and looking very impressive in 07 who are honestly the teams to beat this year in B? Re****s from the weekend lean towards Marcellin/OE/Melbournians/ Blacks but early days.

Will the boys from Keilor Hill go all the way or will Marcellin show the gap from A Grade is far too great? St.Bedes should go very well from what Ive heard as well...

The weeds tips for the weekend

OEG easily to continue the charade that there half decent
Blacks just in the battle of the pretenders
OMs 4 goals in the battle of the toffs
SKOBS to outrun the unfit tigers
Marc to come from 2 goals down in the last 2 mins to win by 3 goals over Ajax who have a history of letting things slip

What id like to see: OEG and Ajax in finals and seeing them both FALTER
AGAIN

Good to hear from DC. His honesty is refreshing

Peace out from THE WEED.

Informer,

Brian not shattered at all about Sheik. I looked at the top 30. I didn't know a few guys, including the number 1. But it looks pretty much right to me. Especially if Beardsley is at number 11. He has towled me up every time we played Trinity. Best defender in A grade. I think.

DC - thanks for your script this week and return to VAFA

Not sure if your a punter, however with all the posts in regard to you, the boys at The Pub plonked on the following at Armidale R5 today - realised it is CA not CU however close enough for us.

What we plonked on was the obvious quinella which paid fantastic

All the best for the year.

You've changed Brian.

I miss the hard hitting, BigFooty reporter. Our own version of ACA's Martin King.

Brian has spoken, clearly nothing more of relevance to say about VAFA.

Finally the real stuff is upon us. The dribble that has been written on this thread over the past months can now be replaced by the real happenings on the field.

Here's a preview to this weekends games as i see it.

Selections in bold.....

OEG v MHSOB - Melbourne High begin there year with a tough road trip over the bolte bridge to face Essendon. Old Essendon are coming off a solid year and should account for Melbourne High comfortably and begin the relegation battle for the public school boys.

Old Melbournians v SKOBS - Two former powerhouses of A Grade meet at the plush Junction Oval. SKOBS look like they will struggle for much of the year and with OM's just coming down i think will be too good.

Marcelin v Beaumaris - Percentage booster for Marcelin. Coming down from A grade and playing a side that should be in C Grade will see Beauy straight to the bottom of the ladder and i doubt if they can get off there.

SBMT v Caulfield - Should be quite tight down at Brindisi. Rumours of a few key losses of personall for the Tigers but have solid numbers with 3 senior teams and 2 under 19 teams this year. Can they fill the gaps???? Caulfield will be there or there abouts. Wont be much in it one would suggest.

Uni Blacks v Ajax - Match of the round one would suggest. Can the new Uni Black kids get their season off to a top start? Will the boom recruit "Shrek" be unstoppable for Ajax? All those answers may be answered come 4.30 on Saturday afternoon but i suspect the clash to be a torrid affair. I think the class of Uni Blacks might just topple Ajax, however expect Ajax to be very good this year.

Is there any news from clubs in regards to players missing or what not?

Cant wait to read Tommy Brains first dribbling article of the year.

Ah how sweet it is......... 5/5.

Couple of good predictions there. The main one being Beaumaris' fate. Good luck with that one this year boys.

Ajax may have developed a choking issue???? Could it be so???

I have read through quite abit of crap on this thread.

A few points:

I dont think that the St Bede's boys talk themselves up on this thing, it just seems as if they like to air their dirty laundry on the thread.

As for Surly???? Very angry man he seems to be.

TBP and co seem to have a little boys club on here...Maybe they sit around at work wondering what it'd be like to live near the bay. Seems like a calming influence on the bayside people.

Anyway enough from me.....

Onto this weekend. See if i cant extend my streak. Selections in bold.

OEG v Beaumaris - Ah it just gets worse for the Sharks. Good luck with that one boys. Another 100 point loss for Beauy.

Caulfield v Uni Blacks - Tough game but i think Uni Blacks will get the choccies providing they can stop Sinclair from doing anything for the second week in a row.

MHSOB v OM - OM's should be 2 and zip after this easily accounting for the unicorns by 6 goals.

SKOB v SBMT - Picking St Bede's here. Solid result last week and SKOB's will find it tough this year. St Bedes by 5 goals

AJAX v Marcellin - Picking the twinkle toes of the Ajax boys to run all over Marcellin by 3 goals.

Im out.......

Carl, just like everyone else you are entitled to your opinion, but I will stand by my earlier post and predict a one sided game to the favour of St Bedes on nothing more than my gut instinct.

And the fact that I don't rate St Kevs.

Baz,

May have to check your rating system - couple of formula's may be out.

I think crownies are on special at Dan's this week when you buy for the great man, DKL.

cheers

500% turn around Tom Brian you fat f**k.

Write them off every week, and SKOBS will stick it up your fat clacka every time

Now lets not get too cocky, its only one win, albeit a good one against a side that didnt respect its opponent.
Also saw a differant side to Kinsella today, was intimidated and thrashed by one D Ryan, very soft game by number 38. The other ex AFL player at SKOB Leigh Newton was dominant and widely agreed in the aftermatch by SKOB old timers as the best big man performance by a SKOB ruckman since M Olive ruled the roost in his halcyon days.
Plugger Lynch bagged 5 goals, not 4 as reported on the VAFA website and looks ready for a strong season if his coach leaves him at home at FF.
St Bedes will have their tales between their legs but will have an easy game at home against MHSOB next week.

Carl,

Thanks for reminding the Cougar about the slab of crownies.......... however the great DK Lillee has consumed a lifetime of beer with Swampy Marsh and Dougie Walters and refused to take up a silly slab bet with barry dawson !!!!

I have a tatse in my mouth to savour though....... the sweet taste of an early crow backfiring in Barry Dawson's martial arts bag of tricks - lets hope he practises his own art of invisibilty when it comes to talking his club up and another club down !!!!!
