Sorry Tommy1979,

I have no idea, Matt Bortlotto would have been a shoe in for an invite but was reported in the 14th round.

Others may be McLaren- very flashy and carries the ball alot

Jarrod Carlson - as skillful as they come.

Luke Considine - hard nut and in and under.

Jake Symes deserves and invite for sure but I have no idea if a full back has ever won the League B&F.

Spitz,
St Bedes playing Under 19 kids is a fair bit different to ours. There Under 19's from looking at the ladder and Results are a class above Under 19 2 division. And ffor that matter I think they would take out Premier.
That amount of scoring shots is a big difference, but as I said in the last post. They smashed us in the last 15 mins. Probably had the last 8- 10 shots. As we had no team to be able to put on.

I am not going to argue this point, St Bedes are a BETTER side and were MUCH better on the day. When we played at our ground, we were playing better football and result should have been much different if it wasn't for 3 errors by young kids (who had played great all game) in the last few minutes.

As for ground size. If you have not seen it get down to Marcellin and see the biggest groung in B grade and the best surface. If you didnt play at Marcellin this year (in regards to size or surface) do not comment.

I am telling you Marcellin is the biggest ground!!! I am not being biast, bragging about the size of your ground is not something to be competitive about. BUT it is fact!

Trinity is also massive.

As I said, I played for many years against the eagles back in my school footy days, and also played a fair few games on Beau's ground.

If you play on the main oval at the school? (Do you?) I would consider Beau's to be bigger, purely because of the Wing's, is a hard day playing onball at Banksia reserve thats for sure.

Im not arguing, some grounds are technically bigger, but other grounds play bigger.

One thing for sure is, if it is that school oval, it had extremely deep pockets, much larger than Banksia.

Marcellin's school ground IS the same dimensions as the MCG, there is no way Beaumaris is bigger. But agree that Beauy is one of the bigger grounds in the comp. Anyway none of that matters as the main game is played at EP which is a completely different ground all together and can be a small ground depending on how you play it.
Both teams deserve to be in the 2nd semi on their H&A season with SBMT as solid favs.
Who wins through to the prelim??

Agree with this, and also agree that no ground in the universe can reverse a 100 point belting.

The size of grounds is more of a mental thing, and i guess we shall see if SBMT has whats required above their shoulders in the coming weeks.

I am pretty sure SBMT reversed a 100 point belting this year against AJAX ?

And maybe you shouldn't yell at your young blokes when they can't hit you straight on the chest, try running FATSO!!

Mate you have so much anger, maybe you need to get laid or something.

Dont remember yelling at one of my team mates on the weekend at all actually.

Told one guy to kick to me a longer option, than hitting up a 15 metre stab pass with someone on his hammer.

Then that guy could turn around and be front and centre.

I actually had alot of fun on the weekend except for my kicking so can't see myself having a go at anyone. They tried hard, all you can ask.

RCT,

Who are SBMT's league b&f invites. You seem to be in the know.
Big pineapple - oeg's
DanCullinan - marc.

Big Tommy

J. Bortolotto (JB will get an extra spud on the plate instead of Matt tonight!) and J. Carlson from Marcellin....

Any truth to the fact that Kieren McConnell may make his debut in the seniors this week?? He is happy enough to tell everyone that he should be playing senior football as he has the best left foot kick down at the club and can kick over 50 metres.

Hope he does as I may just have to make the journey to EP and see some fine spectators and I know who I will sit next to :D

No chance hes a complete hack and needs to learn how to kick out!

Are you for real 'they will be known as the biggest chokers the VAFA world has seen' You only get the reputation of being a choker if you have a history of doing it which they dont. One of the worst posts all year, pull your head in clown

Im waiting for the 'they are no good on a big ground' theory as well.
OK nob. What do you call a team that coasts through the home and away season, smashes the 2nd best side and then goes out in straight sets?

Good luck Tutto to your skobs on the weekend.
Given your service to the club it would be great to see you win.

The answer. Not good enough.....but if that is the reality so be it.

Pity OEG posters do not give any respect to opposition sides. May be a reflection on the OEG culture and is the underlying reason for their lack of success. SBMT as a club could possibly have what it takes to make the next step up the grades. Could OEG? The answer is pretty clear to outsiders looking in!

To be perfectly honest we do respect you guys a real lot. You'd be stupid not to. But I think most people on Big Footy are sick of the daily "Are St Bedes the real deal? blah blah blah."

YES - St Bedes are the real deal.
YES - They will make the Grand Final
and YES - They will be in A Grade in 2008.

We all know they are a great side, the results show that. Let's talk about real things like match ups and predictions.

There are two games tomorrow and come 5pm 1 team will be in the Grand Final and there will be 2 teams competing the other spot.

For what it's worth I think OEG will win by 13 and St Kevins will win by 28 points.

Can the bow legged one get a leave pass from the races to play. Who will OEG match up on him. Need to be someone who has pace, can leap high and can get to every contest. Will be the crucial match up. Maybe use a biggs on himto nulify his impact.

I wanted to take him but my season is over.

I'd say Frazer would have the strength and toughness to match up on him.

I would suggest given his history that he would seek out the youngest player in the OEG team and give cheap elbows in the ribs behind play. Not saying there is anything wrong with welcoming a youngster into the game with a bit of physicality but its a case of some blokes being different in their approach to the opposition.

Just like some men are lager men and some men are cider men... different drinks for... um... different needs?

Looking forward to a big day at the Park tomorrow and some quality football for all to enjoy.

Weekends Finals tips:
Seniors
Tigers over the Bombers in a ripper by 21 points
Skobs over the Uni by 13 points

Reserves
Tigers over Skobs by 31 points
Blacks over Marcellin by 27 points

Best of British to all participants.
