Good morning lads, hope all is well in Oz.
Old Carey to drop back with Beauy in 08. Predicting at least one recent AFL premiership player will grace B Section this year, should be an exciting season.
Top 5 at this early stage in no particular order is OEG, Old Camberwell, St Bernards, Caulfield and SKOB.

Hello Brian,

First things first, is the house ok?

Couple of interesting selections there. Not sure about the Caulfield tip, but it would take a brave man to tip against you. I've got a feeling the bloods might be stronger than the snowdogs next year. Your two clubs will definitely be up there and I'd say we'll be thereabouts also.

I'll say Bloods, SKOB, OEG, Marcellin, Bernards in that order.

Well thankyou my great learned friend...the House is good, Ben Cousins has left and all of the pretender celebs have headed to Aspen. I am certainly over fires and people from downtown LA who light them and then cower back to their ghetto.
In regards to talent on display this year, why not have a B vs A Section rep game, perhaps Jason Cave can petition the High Court or at worst start a poll.
As I have posted here recently, there will be upwards of 20 ex AFL players having a kick in B Section this year, with one club that is very low key having 6 on board.
The Bloods may be successful, it depends on their salary cap problems and long term injury list payments. If they can sort these details out then yes, they will be a force.
Have a great Summer lads and I hear Ugly dermie is actually in Downtown Miami QLD, not tornado valley.

Brian,

Is it fair to say that the SKOBs people are more interested to look at the Afl's fixture than the VAFA's. 15 Sunday games for Melbourne is a win win for you guys is it not.

Who and Who???

Can someone please fill me in on these big recruits and how they will add value.... Obviously I'm not from Keilor Hill :thumbsu:

James Condos - formerly at the Bulldogs and Werribee. Kicked about 80 goals from FF last year for Keilor.

Daniel Cooper - Also a forward from Keilor. Kicked a few bags last year and is a big boy.

No flashy AFL types down at OEG this year. Jayson Daniels and Alex Ischenko were close but wanted cash.

Big Pineapple,

Always showing faith in the Marcellin Boys. I love it mate.

I think we will be pretty good next year. We had a lot of injuries and young kids this year so we can only improve!! To tell you the truth as well I think our boys thought it was going to be to easy.
Back in B Grade and won our first 3 games!! I think that was one of our down falls as well. Over confidence!!

I am spewing though BP, I have been relocated for work up to the Gold Coast. So ill be playing up here this year and teaming up with one of my old team mates. Our old Marcellin Ruckman Mark Browne who also has moved up here!

No idea about the standard up here! Grounds are nice, but it is so bloody humid!!

TBP

Have ye little faith.? Surely u can tip the OEG boys to finish one up on 3rd. That would be a disastrous result, 3rd in B Section 4 times in 6 yrs......

Can't wait to see OEG vs Bernards games, have the VAFA drawn them as Elsternwick games in their infinite wisdom...?

I think you underestimate your worth to the team DC. Full backs throughout B grade are rejoicing about not playing you in 08. Massive hole for the Eagles to fill.

Brianspeaking does it again!

Parton a confirmed signing at Blackburn on Wednesday, as predicted by Brian on here several weeks ago.

From memory he was widely ridiculed for the prediction.

Well doen Brian. Any more predictions?

Not the 1...2 act again. Give it a rest. Widely ridiculed?? I was the only one who commented on this. And having a mate who is the recruiting man at Blackburn hardly elevates Brian to Nostradamus status. Merely it means he was passing on info he knew. Big loss for Carey and a suprising one. But a great gain for Blackburn. I am a local Blackburn resident and have a few mates down there. They will be happy.
Any more info on the Kenyan??

My tips:

Top 4 - Bloods, OEG, SKOBS and Camberwell.
Bottom 2 - Beaumaris, Carey, Marcellin to fight it out.
Mid Table - OM's Caulfield, Bernies.

I have heard some whispers coming out of the Marcellin camp that they may struggle in 2008. Young, brash, over confident...when they haven't really shown much is how one official worded it.

Interesting top four Monkey. I wouldn't be leaving Caulfield out with chaffey and kellaway.

Yes Brian may well have been passing on info but it was info you disputed and he was right about. Most people on here are just passing on information .

Agreed he is a big loss along with Holland.

Don't underestimate Caulfield, whose second half of the year was quite good.

Agreed, marcellin have a long way to go in B section, and immense improvement is required on last year...

Whilst the team in '07 was young and brash, possibly naive...but i would not say over confident ... the club knows where we're at in terms of where we need to be and what we have to do to be competitive.

Marcellin has a long way to go, no doubt, and the effort is being put in to rectify a poor showing last year.

I actually like Caulfield. Have followed them on and off as i have a work colleague who is big into them. I think leaving them out of my top 4 just indicates the strength of B-Grade this year. From my mail, SKOBS and Camberwell have recruited extremely well and we all know the names being thrown around on this forum at OEGS and the Bloods. From my understanding most are on the money. It seems only Carey, Beauy and Marc are the ones who will have very low key (meaning few big name players) lists in 08, and i am sure they would be happy with position 8 on the ladder when they see some of the teams they will be facing. I shared a beer a few weeks back with an Ex Hawthorn/Carlton SEN commentator and he told me Holland was definately running around again this year. I assumed he meant carey, but it must be elsewhere.

Rabs

Is it true what's in the little paper today that Beauy have signed Jason Mifsud to coach in 2008?!?! If so that's a massive coup, and could result in me upgrading your stock from sell to hold. He's a driven man who did great things at the Caramut and Koroit football clubs.

Merry Christmas Rabs and a happy new year.

It sounds like a massive coup!

Who the F#$% are Caramut & Koroit FC?

Maybe the AFL should look at relocating these two super powers of football to the Gold Coast!

Get of the drugs Freddie...

Surly

Mifsud has been at St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs for the past two years.

Caramut is a tiny club, whilst Koroit is near Warrnambool, and plays in the Hampden League. They were a joke before he turned up, now a power of the league with the foundations he built. They'd beat any B-Grade club easily.

Freddie,

Maybe by explaining all that in your first post, I wouldn't have felt a need to comment.

Still doesn't clear up the fact that I neither know or care who Misfud is!

And saying those clubs would beat any B-Grade club easily confirms my comments re-You taking drugs...

Surly

PS Thanks for the pump up Monkey!

Beat them at what exactly? Poker? Bocce? Because i know one things for sure, they wouldn't get within 10 goals of any top 4 B-grade side.

Congratulations. You have finally started to make some sense.

Keep up the good work, these muppets from other leagues need to remove the chip from their shoulder and realise that we are the premier competition in this state.

Will this Mifsud character be able to bring a stable of ring ins and mercenaries to the Sharks without an open chequebook....? I don't think so!!!
