Tom Swift – Mid – 190cm 84kg
Taylor Gilchrist – HBF/HFF – 189cm 70kg
James Strauss – BP/Mid – 185cm 81kg

Good Effort and not a bad group for Geelong .
Swift sound very much like a Wells pick. Pick a kid undervalued because of injury , he did this with Chapman , Hunt , Varcoe and Selwood , especially if he has the potential to be far better than the a late R1 pick.

Don't know anything about Gilchrist but his size is good. At this size and to be this low he must have deficiencies , is he slowish? One side? Ordinary dispossal?Anyway if the Cats like them they trust themselves to groom them so it could be a likely pick

and IF the Cats only have three picks I think you will find they will use their last on their NSW kid , Ranga Ediwickrama , seemed to go OK at the Champs and would be probably a similar size to Strauss

After losing C.Jones and Graham (likely) I reckon the Eagles will take at least one key position player, possibly a ruckman (we only have Cox, Seaby and rookie-listed Sullivan).

I'd be absolutely stoked to get Rich, Hill and Walters though.

Probably on my own on this one, but Mitch Banner has the best skills in the draft. Its just his decision making that lets him down. But both sides of the feet, at any distance to 55m, he will hit them. Just when he is under pressure he tends to just try and kick it forward to anywhere

I've got him going to you guys in the 3rd round, potentially could go at your second rounder though if Hine fears he might be taken earlier. Don't think he's been mentioned around here at all which is kind of surprising, defintie 2nd/3rd rounder IMO. (I know who you're talking about by the way, i'll PM you his name if you like.)

Just to let you know..dont get your hopes up about Keeffe. He is hopeless imo.

I have played with and against him. Is very raw so give him time and he could develop into something.

What i was trying to get across was that you shouldnt not draft a ruckman in the ND just because you have Keeffe.

Hine has pretty much confirmed that we didn't take a ruckman in the ND 2007 because of Lachlan Keeffe. I don't see how this is much different, we certainly won't be reaching for Browne.

Agreed and believe WC will not take more than one (maybe two) midfielders under the old six foot mark 182cm given that Masten is on the small side.

Ha Ha Ha, you read my mind! That's exactly what I was thinking seeing Robinson 2 below deBoer. Haven't seen a lot of Robinson but I've seen plenty of deBoer and from what I've read here about Robinson he seems the goods and his disposal can't be any worse than deBoers.

Yours is one of the opinions I do read. As you say most have only seen highlights or one game and read everything on here as gospel. I am a Rich fan also, I saw him and Swift get over 40 possessions against VM in under 16 Nationals and been following his progress but from the other side of the land.
Wasn't meant to be a dig at you, just how much you seem to like Daniel.
