That’s it for me for the Games. Full of these “talk us up” moments, but little delivery when it counts from our bevy of “gold medal chances”.

Compare that to Stafford delivering in the final minutes of the Super Bowl today under incredible pressure. Sorts the champions from the maybes.

Well done to Mengtao, delivered today and tonight.

Was World Champ in 2013 and went in as favourite in 2014, but only won silver. A long wait for redemption after a poor 2018 Olympics and didn't make final 6. 13 years on the circuit is a bloody long innings in this sport.

Long way from Sports Illustrated and their 4 gold, 1 silver prediction.
So they put the pressure on Australia?

A little country of 25 mill with a patch of snow miles away from Europe and the US.

We are the best!

Aussie bagging,I think we need another vaccine lol.

Don’t think this is the event to have that opinion. We were huge chances here but just didn’t deal with the conditions like the others. Went big for the win and would’ve won gold if she landed it. The hype was justified for this one

Not sure which ones they predicted really. We won the one we should have. Ariels is ALWAYS luck. The top 6-8 are always close. The one thing I’m surprised is she didn’t go for the quad.

Apart from those two which ones were we expecting to win?

Anyone but the Chinese
God you’re insufferable, borderline racist. Their government are the ****heads not their athletes and the winner is one of the best in the world and a deserved winner.

You post alot but rarely say anything meaningful. If the moderators were awake on this thread they would’ve pulled you up a long time ago.

They went on a model around our athletes’ best results in recent history. Four medals a great effort, but reckon there were a few left on the table…….
Always is though, never goes as planned.
Well done to the Chinese girl, their government still awful though.

I saw the shit they serve the athletes as “food”,bloody terrible.

Australia’s biggest medal haul.

Over negative nancies.

Let all the huge bully countries mock us,we don’t care!

Outside chance in the Big air and the ski cross still to come. They are minor medal chances though
