He hasn't been too bad this season, fair to say pretty good but the last month has been elite, definitely worked on his flaws, ironed them out and is a key player in the forward line.
can't fault his effort. He is the hardest running player out there and always has leg speed. I was a bit worried when he went into the middle late, but he was amazing.

You're nowhere near as wrong as another poster that's shitcanned him relentlessly almost from his 1st game...

Funny to say but opposition coaches are going to have to put time into him.

I think the way he played tonight freed up Rachelle a bit, glad to see the youngfella took that freedom too, could learn a bit from Keays about work rate required to succeed

Reaping the benefits of keeping his body sharp. If you wanted an AFL body, his would be right up there.

I’d apologise but I’ve always been on board the Keays train.

This guy is reminiscent of Rory Sloane wrt absolute gut running effort.

Keep it up. This win is 100% Ben Keays - he literally one handed picket the team up, put them on his back and dragged them over the line

ABSOLUTELY UN ****ING BELIEVABLE EFFORT FROM THIS GUY*

* ok, Fog may have also entered beast mode

27.13 for the year so far. That’s a fantastic return from a “defensive” forward.

Is he though? He leads up to get the ball, he works back to get the ball, he enters contests to get the ball. The only defensive priority he has is if he doesn’t get the ball he works his but off to win it back.

No way. Momentum took them down - he didn’t pin the arms.
Also Caldwell passed HIA I believe so shouldn’t even get a mention

Will get cited, purely on visual aspect. Like McAdam’s bump, they’ll retrofit ‘potential to cause damage’ because they didn’t like the look.

Be interesting to see how Keays tackle and the bump on Dawson are treated.

Dawson clearly hit high, no free. But in concussion protocol?

I thought that the bloke that hit Dawson was in the motion of soccering the ball. Will be interesting, I didn’t think it was his fault, but AFL don’t like concussions.

His work rate has always been his weapon. He’s like the ever ready bunny. But in the beginning it looked more like if you get in there enough of course you are going to get a few good possessions amongst a lot of hacks, but now I feel his quality to hack ratio is definitely in favour of quality. But he’s in everything!

Has done an amazing job re-inventing himself as a forward since he lost the midfield role last season. Has kicked 40 goals since the bye last year. By comparison Fogarty who has been pretty good as a key forward has 46 in that time.
