I don’t think right now is the appropriate time to go into more details on a public forum page

Just thoughts are with everyone Involved
Sorry, I was responding to the 'awful news from Kyneton' comment thinking it was a lopsided game or something. Had no idea of what has happened until read later comments.

Like everyone else I am guttered.

Wasn’t far off.
That said, I was 123 points out with my Eaglehawk tip but I’m sure nobody saw that coming that’s a huge upset.
Horrible news about the young Castlemaine lad devastating and puts things into perspective my thoughts go out to the family and the club and also the Kyneton club who would be also be doing it tough

Upset of the year with flat beating burra! Great result for them and the league. Obviously gets put into perspective with the news today, very sad.
Yes Silver you are absolutely spot on with this post. The BFNL has 8 teams in the race for the finals now and I suspect it has never been in that situation in its history. What a reward for diehard Flat supporters. Congratulations to all at the club. Hope you make the finals.

In particular, well done to the Castlemaine & Kyneton clubs for the way they have handled this tragedy. Humphrey's advice to please hug your family is spot on. Hug your mates and look after one another. Young kids today do this so well and it is an example for all of us.

Utter devastation is the only way to describe the mood around the club yesterday.

Horrible turn of events that will leave a lot of people damaged forever.

Not the most important consideration at this stage obviously but how the season is managed now will be a dilemma.

Very hard to see them playing this week and after that who knows.

Absolute tragedy and my heart goes out to everyone at the club at this horrible time.

All that matters is what is best for those affected. If more time is needed then a way needs to be found for that. Conversely if family, the club and the players feel the best thing for them is to keep playing then let’s all fully support that also.

There is no right or wrong thing to do in this type of situation.

Keep looking after each other mate

Here’s my tips for this week looks like most games will be blowouts which is a shame but anyway this is what I think

Best wishes to the Castlemaine and Kyneton Clubs this week and for the rest of the season. Castlemaine under 18's in particular. I am sure all our thoughts are with you. on Saturday and I hope you can feel that.

On a much less important note, Bart what are you tips for this week? I think the Strath v Flat game is one we will all be keeping an eye on.

Albury I echo your thoughts and wish my best thoughts with both Castlemaine and Kyneton for the rest of the year it will for sure be very tough for them I hope they get around each other and enjoy each others company and support I think the results and performances and secondary. Being with mates and leaning on each other is the most important thing and the actual game and result is not that important and the grand scheme of things so based on that I’ll still give a tip but no margin in their games.

I might end up with egg on my face from Flat again but can’t tip them against a top side yet off the back of one upset but if they do it again this week I’ll be reconsidering my view on them moving forward

Looks like all games will go ahead tomorrow at the Camp which is the right decision I think.

An important step in the healing process, even though it will no doubt be a difficult day.
All the best to those taking the field or court tomorrow and win lose all draw I’m sure Dallas will be looking down proud as punch that his beloved club are out doing what he loved to do pulling on the black and white stripes and giving it their best shot

It will be a tough day for sure but another opportunity for everyone to come together and remember the young man and to support each other.

I know I’ll be thinking of everyone whilst at my game.

Take care of each other everyone

Roota, don't read this - go and have a cup of tea.

I'd love to see Flat get up tomorrow. It would do wonders for interest in the competition. Likewise Kyneton.

Also, all the best for the Castlemaine guys tomorrow. Regardless of any scoreboard you are already standing tall in all our eyes.
