Wrong in taking what Lambo said as Dusty plying in the back line.

Move on? Come on mate, you are the best at wringing the life out of a topic ;)
As I stated earlier i agreed with you on Lambo if he said it , but he clearly states "WE Expect him"which adds another ambiguity as he was quoting another party. Again this is not what you carried on about in your initial post.
Let's get back on topic as I want to put up a team with Dusty on the HB line :oops:;)

Hahaha fiiiiine

I suppose when you add the 3 centreline players, 2 on the ball, and a rotation of 3 midfielders off the bench, plus say 1 small fwd or 1 small back. Who all need to be able to play midfield. There's roughly half the team that needs to be able to run through the midfield and the team not lose output. We probably have 7 players who can hold their own. Still question marks over the rest. Either needing to step up as 2nd year players, or return from injury, perform at a new club, or have better years than 2016.
Yep this ain't the 80's anymore, players need to play in variable positions. Just wish the coaching dept played the players to their strengths a little more. No way JR should be lining up across half back but let's wait and see.

Anyone framed a team for next Friday Night? Are we likely to see any of the top 22 factor in the 3 games? Baring in mind how wrong things went last year especially in the last round of NAB.
The club has yet to take these games seriously yet under Hardwicks tenure and as much as it would be great to see I have doubts. I don't care about the result but the more games we get into our core group so they gel together and understand roles the better. If players are fit and able to go then why sit them in the stands?

Id normally think a less than full strenghth team for our first hit out, but it is at Etihad and fans will be rocking up, so we might name a reasonably strong line up.
The 2nd JLT game v Port is at Mt Gambier on the 8th March - maybe a below full strength team
The 3rd game v Collingwood is at Moccasin Oval, Moe on March 11th - Probably a strong line up being our last hitout before the big dance.
Then R1 v Blues is 23rd March.

We will be picking strong teams for all three games.

Hopefully we still see some new faces and the one's who don't perform and don't have the runs on the board are rotated (dropped).

I don't want to debate on your ability to interpret or read an article and yes I do agree with your Bubba Sheep logic, but this is of no relevance to the first post you made.He also stated 'WE ALSO EXPECT HIM " so it implies it wasn't his opinion only. Obviously a group discussion coming from the FD IMO.

Now this is what he said which made his report ambiguous

""But we also expect him to play defence as well. That's a part of the game that he is working on because we know he can play the attacking side, but he is going to have another great year."

I cannot simplify this any further for you .

Amen brother

Pretty clear to me TI, can't understand the confusion

Wrong about what ?IF so , is it possible for you to explain this?
Move on mate.
PS I can see your trusty assistant has come to your defence with some powerful and intellectual arguments. All which have nothing to do with explaining the paragraph in question.

Morro i am your defenders. When do i get paid ?

Also TI nice edit job on your posts haha. Good work champ. When being wrong simply edit your posts.

Thanks for the lesson lol

Yeah move JR around a bit, but in the fwd line preferably.

As an outsider:

B: Grimes Artsbury Houli
HB: B.Elliss Rance Markov
C: Mcintosh Vlaustin Prestia
HF: Dusty Griffiths Edwards
FF: Lennon Riewoldt Rioli
R: Nankervis Caddy Cotchin

I/C Bolton Graham Grigg Miles

Its so sad so many duds in so many teams. No wonder i'm so pessimistic.

People do realise to improve we must change and that does not mean just one or two changes.
It is time to revise 2010 and the youth policy. If the kids dont come thru it wont matter what Prestia and Caddy do we will be a cellar dwellar.

Graham won't be playing early hes hardly trained. Bolton won't play first few rounds at least imo.

Lloyd is almost a lock in our 22 and you've omitted him

Your right piss that weak soft prick Edwards off and play Lloyd in his stead.
Bolton, Lloyd, Rioli, and Lennon along with Jack,Plus mentally weak Griffo, and Chol from the bench for starters. You know what though it will be more of the same from super coach Damien.

"Weak soft prick" can probably bench your weight and run a marathon while you breathe heavy going up the 3 steps to Maccas.

All our players deserve support and denigrating them with words liked you do, even in jest, is bad taste

Like you said, Edwards for Short.
And this is my team also. Especially after the intra club yesterday. Definitely think Lennon can provide a serious target up forward when Griff goes into the ruck and Nankervis to the pine.

I am happy with this side. I see Castagna and Miles knocking on the door of this group though. Competition for spots have become serious among the small/medium forwards/defenders and the ruckmen.

Hey guys I've heard that Alex Rance has had some injury concerns over this preseason which is why he's been rested during the intra-club matches, any truth to this?

Thanks
