Best game you ever played (juniors, ammos etc)

Played for P&C (Police and Citizens) in the 80's and was matched up against Robert Harvey in the centre, in the under 14's. We won by 30 goals that day, I got somethinng like 30 touches, and took a screamer (I still remember the aagh's as I went up on the shoulders of my teammate :)thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:) and we carved up Seaford that day.

Unfortunately in under 15's (so over the off season) Seaford got a new coach and when we played them early in the season they beat us by 30 goals (60 goal turn around....) and I still remember Harvey tearing us apart (especially me) running through packs and we were all grabbing at air. Needless to say I was shown a football lesson that day.


But that my best game was probably a High School game that got us into the next level (not sure if it was state finals or regional finals) but I kicked 4 goals, one being on the edge of the 50 metre arc on the boundry line (wrong side for a left footer) and I wanted to kick it to the middle of the square as I never kick goals and I ended up putting it thru the middle. Probably one of the best kicks I managed.
 
This year in U17's. My side lost by 93 points and i got 3 votes in the League B&F from Full Back. Got 9 all up, most from any full-back in the laegue
 
My proudest time was when we went and trained at Arden Street. They stuck me on Longmire one night and they were kicking it to him who was leading hard out of the goal square. My job was to act as the full back and try and spoil. Sounds like crap but he couldn't take a mark on me ...

I booted 5 for Ormond in Under 16s, that still stands as my best haul. As far as best moment, kicking the winning goal for 10Bs at school with 8 seconds left out at the Todd Road Oval was one of the most memorable.
 
A couple of years back in the Seniors.

We'd had an OK year, but come the final round we were up against the league leaders who were considerably better than us.

I was playing full back on the leagues leading goal kicker, and our full forward was only 2 behind him. We got beaten by a few goals, but I kept their FF goalless which allowed our FF to sneak home & win the goal kicking for the comp.

Wasn't necessarily my best game, but certainly my most satisfying (besides a few junior flags of course)
 
Largs Bay Primary vs North Haven Primary...

Played forward pocket and got about 12 touches and kicked 2 goals. We smashed North Haven, but got docked of our points for that game because Steven Summerton was playing for us and he didn't go to our school.... We were shattered because getting our points docked cost us advancing to playing in the SAPSASSA tourney.
 
favourite games was this and last years grannys where i didnt do that much either game 19 touches and 2 goals 06 and 15 touches and two goals this year. but we won so dont care

personally i kicked 7 from midfield this year in one game and tore it up cept was against poor opp so yeh lol

Last year prelim final wulda been best game ever, had the ball on a string, culd believe how often i had it, was rumoured to have it over 50 times, probs bollocks dont get me wrong, someone said even 60, but i ams ure it wuldnt have been. once i even followed up my own kick and got it without ne one touching it, but kicked 2.5, was shattered but we won

High school got put up to the 1sts.

Ball spilled from the pack 50m out, got the clearance. Now just imagine a huge bloke who looks exactly like Anthony Rocca, full forward of the side, screaming at you to palm the ball off to him.

My mind had one of those split second moments and I thought "**** this". Just peeled away from him and slotted it myself from 40.

We lost the game. :D
 
u15's Last home and away game for the year winner got throught to the finals
playing a half back flank position with us up by a couple of points 10 minutes to go my player suddenly became FF. Took three screamers on his back , no more scores for the game we won.

Also got sent off in first quarter for tripping :)
and kicked a left foot snap goal


Lost first final by 105 points
 
PLayed a couple of ok games, 2 stand out.

Kept the leagues leading goalkicker to one point when we got beaten by 20 goals.

Next week played half forward flank and kicked 6.
 
Couple of years ago in country footy played a game about five weeks after tearing cartlidge in my knee which later required surgery. In the two's who hadn't won a game for about 5 years and we got up by a point. Got pretty ******* with the boys that night.
 
This year was my first year of football ever, I came 6th in the best & fairest. My best game was against Williamstown I had roughly 25 touches, 30 hit outs atleast, 10 marks and kicked a goal.

In school footy 2 years ago year 7 I kicked 4 all in a 10 minute game I played with school pants onto -_-
 
Besides my GF wins, the one game that stands out for me as an individual was in 02, it was my side 40th year anniversary game and we had Geoff Raines come down to address the side (apparently he played a few games for the same side as a kid).

Anyway i was captain that day and after he addressed my side i was about to lead the team out he pulled me aside and gave me little talk about my game and how to improve it and i took it aboard seeming he was an idol for me.
I went out that day and kicked 8 goals from ruck rover and gained around 30+ touches, took a couple hangers and got the 3 votes.

i will never forget that game as it was against our arch rival paxhill and it had such a signifance to our club.
it felt good to have about 400 - 500 people that have been involved in the club over the years cheer you off and pat you on the back as i lead the side off after winning by 35pts.

We won the flag that year and it was easily my best year of football.
unfortunantly besides the flag it was a year of 2nds for me, i came runner up in both club and league B&F's, won the goal kicking but had it given to another player because the league said they didnt have records of all my goals and i was also runner BOG in the GF.

Still great memories though.

Worst game ever (in cricket)

Getting smashed for 33 runs of an over (9 NB's included)...what made it worse was that I was one of the opening bowlers

Lol, thats shocking. My worst over was in a twenty20 and I got hit for my one and only 6 :(. I'm sure i've been hit for more runs in an over (say 12 or something), but getting hit for a 6 sure did suck. Then again the boundary line was only like 50 meters out.
 
There are 3 games that come to mind all from under 13's

The first was lining up at CHB to play against Leroy Jetta. He scored 2 quick goals but was more or less touchless the rest of the quarter before I was put up forward.

The other two games were both against the same team. Teh first game we played was in the normal season and I managed to be in the centre of a fight after being king hit from behind.

Second game that year was in a 3rd vs 4th playoff. (We had our semifinals and finals on the same day). It was the last game of the season and our back pockets and CHB moved up forward looking for a goal. I was left 3 on 1 in defence and when they pushed forward I stopped a certain goal by smothering with my head. We won by a couple points and a mate of mine shirtfronted the bloke that had king hit before knocking him out cold.

Other then that scoring 9 goals in a soccer match which we lost 10-9 and bowling 8-11 in a cricket game at under 11's. From about 14 onwards not a lot
 
Probaly 15's semi-final.

We lost, but i played one of my best games ever on that day on the wing/half-back flank.

Killed my opponent who was a good player and made some pretty important rebounds from defensive 50.

It was dissapointing we lost considering we were in front for the whole game until the last 5-10 mins where they ran over the top of us.
 
Kicked 6 goals in colts this year only to go on and Kicked 7 in my Reserves Debut the same day, Kicked 7 of our 9 goals absolutely dominating.

Probably played my best footy at Centre Half Forward though.
