Why do people like flukey goals, one of the best I've seen was J Brown from the flank to get them into a final, plenty of pressure, plenty of skill, all class no arse.

This is the best "non" goal I've seen (actually was a goal) at the 7:40 mark.
As good as the Daicos goal in the OP is that sort of thing is pretty common these days.

That'd make for a great thread, best non-goal ever.
Has to be Pyke or Nic Nat for me. Probably Pyke by a shade just for the miracle of it (and the commentary, haha).
As for actual goals, Blight's remains unbelievable to me every time I watch it, so I can't go past it.

First to come to mind was this effort from Judd. Nothing flukey about it, he just won his own ball in the midfield, broke out of congestion and finished superbly.

two of my absolute favourites there Commando; Ablett's grab-it-and-snap from the ruck contest in 1989 remains one of the best things I've seen live at any sporting event, given the context; it was incredible - the camera angles that captured it don't *quite* do it justice.
the one in the state game, if it's the one I'm thinking of (edge of the goal square, tackled by a Croweater or two, snapped straight back over his head on a ridiculous angle ??) defied physics, I'm just not sure how he did it !
