It doesn’t make sense to me that individual choices would lead to club punishment. I can’t buy the rumour due to this. Essendon was club side punishment because it was a club wide and club ran program



A player choosing to bet on games will themselves receive punishment but it isn’t logical to say it would fall back on the club

If any of this is true, I think it turns into a question of whether the club knew about it, and what they've tried to do behind the scenes to make it go away instead of reporting it all.

If we're focusing both barrels of this rumour at Collingwood, then Eddie's presser about wanting total amnesty for any other players in strife with betting to come forward starts to sound rather suspicious.

I got the text a few other people got. Same story has been copy/pasted and sent around it seems.

It would explain our inexplicable drop in form this year if something was going on behind the scenes...

Only thing that doesn't add up, is why would they conclude the Stephenson investigation, suspend him, and then circle back for the broader investigation? The rumour is that they uncovered more while investigating Stephenson, so surely it would have been treated as the one big case, and all of it happen simultaneously, Stevo along with the rest...
