Big 4 clubs to kick off the season again in 2016 - afl tells minnow Hawks to gagf

Oh I know a bit. Like how you've won only 2 flags in 50 years... :$

You had a 50 year stretch with two flags too, that's also history. Always with the painfully worded little outbursts. Have you ever said something spontaneous in your life?

I'm a member. It's my club too. Maybe you should sign up, tightarse.

I'm a season ticket holder at Collingwood for over two decades, why would I buy a Hawthorn membership?

Yeah 15 is so far in front of 13. We will never get there...

Well not if spend decades bumping along the bottom again.

When you're reduced to mum jokes, you've already lost.

When you're reduced to asking strangers on the internet for blowjobs you've already lost.

Oh dear... "Socialism" and "Rules changes"...

Zones. You won one flag before there were zones (and that through anti-football). Zones were such a good idea they were abolished.

You realise Hawthorn's unsportsmanlike behaviour in two grand finals led to rules changes? The ugly maul perpetrated by Kennedy's commandoes led to the centre diamond (yep, Hawthorn brought a little bit of netball to Aussie Rules, thanks for that), and the 2008 "own point" disgrace led to another rule change. Congratulations, you've passed Footscray in the "win at the cost of honour" stakes.

But of course you knew that.

You've lost the plot, son. See back when Collingwood was relevant, they didn't really have rules. That's why you kept winning. You bought premierships.

Stop parading your ignorance, you really are a new arrival in the league aren't you?

We paid our players a fixed rate below the average (in the 1927-1930 side it was 3 quid a match, less than most VFA sides let alone VFL). Men wanted to play for Collingwood because it was a great club despite the money. Occasionally blokes left for coin, like Minogue or Todd or Fothergill, but they often came back. We famously beat South's foreign legion twice, a team cobbled together with coin.

But you knew that.

Now if you're talking about bought premierships, you should ask Platten, Buckenara, Dunstall, Judge, Pritchard, Hudson, Eade, et. To be fair the Carlton side at that time was even more mercenary, but you made up for it with some brilliant zone players. Yep, the great 1983-1991 team was built on money and VFL assistance.

But you knew that too.

To win an salary cap era flag is just so much harder. I guess that's why you've only got the two...

The salary cap was brought in because North and later Hawthorn and Carlton made the VFL entirely about money and two clubs ended up going to the wall. Thanks again, can you just not shit in the pool anymore?

When it was just about football, when men could play anywhere they wanted, and teams won or lost on their merits, we were the best. Many of the rules changes (when they weren't trying to de-uglify something Hawthorn had done) were to give crap clubs like Hawthorn a helping hand. You're the "difficult children" of the Big League, hopeless without help, making messes, and so entitled about what you have been given.

But you knew that too.

You've got a great coach and a very good side at the moment, but it doesn't explain why so many of your supporters are such ignorant campaigners.

Uh, I'm pretty sure Hawthorn can dream of winning another 2 flags. It will surprise absolutely noone if we win them both before Collingwood wins another.
"It will surprise no-one if we..." wtf is this shit? Make a real boast. "We won more flags than you". Can you say that?

Your club's been around since 1896. We won our first flag in 1961, so Collingwood had a 65 year headstart on us for just a pitiful 2 extra flags. Considering we've averaged one flag every 4.1 years since 1961, statistically we'll go past you in another 12.3 years - if not sooner since the rate at which we are winning flags is speeding up, not slowing down.

WTF more stats? And you botched them like a newb.

You were founded in 1914, we had a 12 year head start, or 18 if we count from VFL entry. Subtract 12 or 18 years from Collingwood's flag tally and we still have more flags than you (including VFA or not).

Seriously I am embarrassed for you. If you'd like help putting together a coherent post PM me and I will be happy to assist.

Now STFU & GAGF minnow. :p

Minnow, not word anyone uses about Collingwood. Its suits a club that went 32 years without a finals appearance. We have a flag drought of 32 years and its huge news. You had a finals drought that long.

Hawthorn has done well to stop embarrassing themselves. the pity of their recent hard earned success is these newbie supporter who feel like they own the joint.

Nice melt, but you already went a page back;).

Look I'm feeling sorry for you, and its clear the Hawthorn heavy hitters aren't ITT to save you (Les and 11sjw wouldn't fall for such a cheap troll) so I'm going to help you out.

Collingwood has for various reasons won a bunch of flags in October. I'm not just talking about 2010, there's 1990, 1936, 1935, 1930, 1927 and that's just of the top of my head. So you could say "we've been all the way in September more often than Collingwood". You nerds love that sort of shitty quibbling boast.

Yeah nice, how many years now since you last beat Richmond?

In a final? 15

How many years since you beat anyone in a final? 15 I think.

Pretty sure that's the worst finals wins drought in the league.

This post officially wants to be traded to Collingwood.

We joined the league in 1925 you dumb twat, and didn't win our first flag before 1961 so I call that a 64 year head start from the time we got our shit together since you entered the league in 1897.

I'm equally embarrassed for you, if you need help understanding maths don't PM me go out and buy a ****ing calculator or an abacus if your simple mind can't comprehend electronics. Oh and Nafan is a shit coach and I can't wait to watch him crash & burn next year the way Hird & Voss did.

Why the hell does the GWS-exers get to open the season?
Think about it and its obvious its a win win game for everyone, big crowd guaranteed good tv ratings and no matter which team loses there will still be plenty of neutral supporters that will get a laugh one way or the other.

For Carlton and Richmond it just adds extra pressure to the opening round oh and some handy gate takings.

Because despite the facts that we'll struggle to win more than one game next year, can't hold onto players, have the worst team board on bigfooty and are just generally shite beyond belief...

...we're still more relevant than LOL Norf.:$

Not by much, we just about had more members than you last year. Your relevance has faded like a fart in the wind.

10 > 9

And the gap to blow out again when you're sad little town fold's minnow
Yeah that will suck. :(

But not half as much as you needing to lift thread ideas from Jayden... :)

Once again the AFL has announced that the most successful opening night combination ever will kick off the season in 2016 with the Tigers and blues playing a blockbuster in front of 85,000 fans. Needless to say there will be many tears from minnow clubs that their side doesn't get the spotlight with the Hawks again being told to get back in their minnow box because they can't draw a crowd Despite threepeating

Tigers by 96 points with Yarran kicking 6 and Lennon 4. Cotchin best on ground. Deledio to show what pea hearts Carlton are in the first 10 seconds yet again
While 10th plays 18th should be a beauty a pity they're both stuck in 1980.

Yet on the Monday the two best sides of the modern era who have won more flags in the last 10 years than the Tigers have played in finals since 1982 will show the comp how footy is meant to be played. They have the 2 best list managers and go from strength to strength off the field.

I guess not winning a flag in our first 25 years doesn't seem so bad after all :$

Context young puffer. I was referring to our first three decades of being garbage, and why it's more excusable than Freo's.
The correct response would have been:

"We were playing in a semi-professional state competition for the first 65 years of our existence. None of it matters anyway."

Happy to start the clock in 1990. Even though it was the same comp since 87. :)
