Another brain dead dismissal. I’m amazed we’re up 2-1 with how poorly we’ve played at stages in this series.
England are THAT bad.

We've had a very average series.

We needed a pretty regulation 350 here to retain the Ashes. I still won’t rule it out with Starc/Cummins contributing to a long tail, however we keep losing momentum when we have it.

Is he but? He averages less than 40 in tests tho I think he’s finally hitting some consistency. That said he’s such stylish batsmen in the same mould as Uzzi

Speaking of player with proper coaching I think Kusal Mendis would be the main team ne tbh. Has a lot of talent and made a lot runs as a kid but the. Stagnated but I also due to him drinking his own bath water
He’s always stuck with a useless tail. Just think he’s got a lot more talent than his record suggests. Mendis plateaued massively after a big start to his career, pretty disappointing

This. Both with bat and ball, we can't put our foot on the throat. Same is true of England too. That's why we're getting such a close engaging series I guess but damn, it'd be nice if we could just flat-track them for once this series.

That's what I have noticed, the team doesn't look clinical at all. Just doing enough at different times and then failing miserably from strong positions.

I look at the balls that they receive and/or bowl and you could hardly say we've played good cricket, a lot of it ordinary and propped up by an outstanding innings here or there.

The list is better than that, but I still think we win the series despite being below par. It is exciting but also very frustrating.

I only have time to watch the first session which is annoying because it has been such a good series. Have had to watch some sessions on replay when I have free time.

We've definitely fielded better than England, largely thanks to Carey, but I'd argue they've probably done more with less when batting and have got wickets from nothing balls when fielding.

They have also won every single toss and in the first 3 tests had all of the best conditions, so this series could have easily been 3-0 to us given some more luck as well (not counting dropped catches as "luck" as it's a skill execution).
