Produce the post and/or your post. Otherwise, backdown as you are embarrassing yourself!
Nah.

Not as embarrassing as deleting a stupid post and pretending nothing happened.

Ah yes, i should've known.

When Billy said he wanted the option of turning boats around, i shouldve realised it was code for finding a way to throw away about half a billion dollars extra just for the hellovit.

Everyone knows you cant simply turn a boat around without spending an extra half a billion on top of todays spend.

M M M MMMMMMMMMUST MUST find a way to spend and waste our kids future instead of trying to tell us how they intend fixing the shit they created.

Some things never change.

It is funny you keep saying this but you cannot reproduce your post where your split personality apparently responded to me!

Lol it's because you're soft and deleted it.
No reason for a mod to delete it.
I don't make things up.

Man up.

No you obviously don't

Labor’s policy platform so far for the next election, as outlined by Bill Shorten and his team today:
- double the number of refugees
- no firm promise to turn back any boats
- a new kind of carbon tax
- lots more wind and solar farms at a vast cost Labor hasn’t yet figured out.
- a republic in a decade.
- constitutional recognition of Aborigines, with real change smuggled in.
Er, is this a campaign platform or a suicide pill?

But I thought Shorten won the fight to turn back boats?

Mr Shorten told delegates he could not take a policy to the next election that could contribute to drownings at sea.

Plibersek and Wong didn't show their faces.

Think you'll find Plibersek and Wong both voted for the revised policy. You get too much information from News Corp publications LB.;)

Bill is ******* hopeless.

It's a cruel joke that we have both Shorten and Abbott at the same time.

If either one of the Parties had a half competent leader, they would annihilate the other one; it's like Warney/Magill, in reverse.
Sadly, I have to mostly agree. However, even with his occasional lack of mendacity and weakness, Shorten isn't the pathological liar and fear-monger the Mad Monk is.

I think you might be wearing some partisan glasses.
You shouldn't fall for the idea that all politicians are the same or that the ones we currently have are especially cynical. Every since Abbott came into the leadership of the Liberals we've had this American-style of politics which emphasises spin over reality (it seemed to come pre-packaged from the U.S. where the Republicans combined with News Corp to bang on about Obama's birth certificate and death panels...).

If you want to throw accusations of partisanship around it would be worthwhile putting in place some sort of standard. If debt and deficit is the only thing you care about, and you want to pretend the GFC didn't happen, then you could make a case for the previous Labor govt, but the debt under the current Liberals has been worse. If you want to look at trust then Gillard's 'lie' was actually a negotiation with The Greens. Abbott himself also tried to negotiate to become PM in 2010; also offering to alter his election policies to do so. His and Hockey's budget back then was also so bad that the people who signed off on it were fined. In power they have since broken almost all their policies, negating the budget they took to that successful election. i.e. They've 'lied' on multiple issues over two elections.

Even on boats, which would be considered their major success, they have been caught out giving money to people smugglers and encroaching on Indonesian waters - going against what they said they would do. Boats have also reached Australia, but they tell us that they haven't, when (just like with 'on water matters') there seems to be no reason to be secretive as Australians are mostly in favour of stopping the boats.

Basically, you'd have to have a very narrow definition of what government should do and a very low expectation of government performance to think the current mob are better than any other modern government (maybe Whitlam's huge spending was worse, but while Fraser reigned a lot of it in, he kept a lot of the policies Gough brought in).
