Bill Shorten - how long?

If Mr Abbott fails to give his members of Parliament a free vote this year he has failed the challenge of our democracy, he's politicising the issue of marriage equality when he doesn't need to.

Nek minute commits his members to a binding vote on gay marriage...

Yeah, not sure you're familiar with the meme.

'Nek minute' suggests it happens in close proximity to what has just been described. 2019 is not nek minute.
You haven't been around long enough.
Or you could have offered up another name...? If there is one?

Bill making promises that he has no ambition of ever paying off.
So are you going to provide evidence for this assertion, or are you going to ignore this question like the one three posts up?

And, no, a cartoon about Wayne Swan and Julia Gillard is not evidence. It isn't even witty (an intelligent cartoonist, like a lot of the mainstream cartoonists are, would recognise that 'carbon tax backflip' doesn't require money - it generates money).

Tone is the one splashing the dollars about these days-and very little to show for it.
Whole lot of fighter planes we will never use. A whole lot on turn backs that does nothing to actually solve things-just shifting the deck chairs.

No different to John Winston Howard was running the joint in boom times, all he left was middle class welfare and a few flag poles in schools.

Sadly, I have to mostly agree. However, even with his occasional lack of mendacity and weakness, Shorten isn't the pathological liar and fear-monger the Mad Monk is.
That may be so but he is so lacking in morals, chin deep in conflict of interest and rubbery backbone that he won't beat abbott, he is a phoney . Billy has a lot in common with the last Billy. The one before that was a little more successful at changing his spots.

Lacking in morals? So tell me when morals was a strength of Abort?

The strength of Abort is what? Creating division & fear?. Well if thats what wins Gument, we are all deep in it, as is the nations future.

Given his history in Parliament & now as PM, please explain what our future will be? More captains calls? Make it up as we go along? Wait for another Tampa? Look for another airline disaster to big note over? Vilafy yet another section of the community? (are their any left for him to marginalise?) So far he has torn things down very well, he has built nothing. That includes the economy, social cohesion, jobs, the budget etc etc.

So if Abort gets votes, what are they voting for?

Err, conscience vote now and then in 2019 binding vote. Don't let the facts get in the way.

When was the last time a Federal Labor Government delivered a surplus? It not in their nature.

The Carbon Tax won't be used to reduce the deficit. It will be used to compensate the low income earners again. The poor pensioners who won't be able to pay the higher energy bill needed to heat or cool their homes, and if its an ETS the only one to get fat will be the bankers.

Poor pensioners and low income earners already suffering from high energy accounts since the carbon tax was repealed and gas likely to go up again next month. Thanks to FTA. Still waiting for my $500 savings. This from a PM that has no idea about the reality of being an honest low income tax payer.

I thought Labor would struggle to win the next election due to the Greens winning a bigger share of the votes. But if the last page is any indication of the 'attacks' the Liberals have lined up for Billy Boy, they should win enough seats to comfortably gain power.

Sarah Henderson is obviously worried in Geelong - she broke ranks and said renewables should be supported by the govt.

Sarah Henderson deserves to lose then.

"Renewable energy" is just green carpetbagging that gives ... I am too foolish to read the site rules a warm & fuzzy, whilst everyone else has to pay for it.

Time for people to grow up.

What other way is there to grow, out?

The point is if abbott is half as bad as you assert and I'd agree he isn't flash

Bill won't get close because he ain't any better
