Dont shoot me for saying this but if we trade in Yarran and Aish I can see us having a nibble at Stanton or Bellchambers

Both won't cost us anything trade wise however Yarran, Aish and Stanton are far too outside to bring all 3 into the club.
I can see us showing some interest in Bellchambers though.

Zaharakis is one I would look at from the bummers. Had a pretty stinky year but he's been very good in patches in previous years. Stanton I'd be happy with but like you said, bringing in 3 outsiders may affect list balance.

Depends if he comes to Richmond or not, if he does he's pretty much Ablett and Pendlebury combined. If he doesn't he is Cale Morton, good call by us not getting him.

Trades, deals for players etc cant be signed before the trade period but they can come to a heads of agreement. So they effectively are done.

Incorrect, if the AFL catches clubs coming to agreement outside the designated trade period they can be done for draft tampering. Also if we came to a heads of agreement with a player and that player then did his knee or another long term injury we'd be obligated to still take them. Clubs would talk to each other about what they are looking for and what they are offering but none are going to lock themselves away on a deal. All it would take is one player not getting to where they were supposed to be going and blowing the whistle and the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

He's got whipping boy written all over him, but he would address the small forward problem.

Cloke is a campaigner. We took him back to get him to 300 and he didn't even offer his kids to us. Granted they're spuds but still. Rioli was a better footballer for me than Raines but you're right, it was handled poorly.

for a mid, we lost two of the better key forwards of the 1980's

people bitch about trading a tall for a mid, one centre man cost us one centre men, one winger, and KPP talls. one gun isnt worth 2 good mids and 2 very good forwards
