At this stage, it could potentially be just soreness. Do you want the club to address the fans every time a player is sore?

Yes, let's have their GPS data, dietary intake, sleep parameters, along with which shoe they put on first if they train on a Wednesday

In fact, I demand to know given I am a member

Then us supporters from the bleachers, could advise what is the appropriate course of action

you didn't get a call either?

Not sure why there's so much panic. My take on it... "modified" program means just that. Its very different to "he isn't training because his back is stuffed"... If the start of his season was in doubt, I think we would know about it. It still could eventuate, but I think it's a positive sign that they haven't already put a line through him.
I'm sure he'll recover, but the term 'modified training' could mean anything from training lightly, to not training at all.
I'd still prefer Walsh to miss some early games, than play carrying an injury like Hewett last year.

His back again... Showing signs of being a bit of a chronic injury. Hopefully we're ultra cautious with this one but not great news.

Reports going out across The Age, HS, SEN, news bulletins, etc. that our gun young mid is injured 3 weeks out from round 1. I don't think it's too much to think the club might post a line or 2 on the website to address it.

Do you think we can wait 12-18 hours until the scan has been studied and treatment protocols identified?

We bat deeper than we did a few months ago and many players are in better knick than they were last year. Best scenario, Walshy has a bit of a taper leading in to the season after a monster pre season. Little to nothing will be lost.

Mid range scenario, he misses a couple of games, giving someone else the chance at the role. Would expect Dutchy to take up the Walsh role for parts of the game. Covering the kilometres from contest to contest. Puts Doc on more wing minutes and likely ensures Cotts a game in that mix. Means George and Chugga likely both get a gig.

In the unlikely event it goes a bit longer, we will have Elijah largely assuming the role after round 3. Alleviating a selection squeeze.

Only a handful of players (or less) in the competition could arguably fully replace Walshy, but we have plenty of coverage. Ideally we want him against the Lions, but gone are the days one or two players hold the fate of the club in their hands.

I can tell you for a fact that he eats white bread.....I saw him and Paddy D at the local supermarket a few years back and it was sitting prominently on top of their shopping bag....although come to think of it, maybe it was Paddy's loaf and that's why we put him up for trade.
