Well as a matter of the fact the player himself isn't happy with how its been handled. These are facts I'm afraid. Come to terms with it and move on.
You seem to have a poor understanding of the word "fact". These are not the facts. They are the unsubstantianted claims by a poster on an internet forum that at least three posters have suggested are not true.

That is not actually a "fact". You need to come to terms with that and move on.

Can't let facts get in the way of his conspiracies

Latest Walsh scoop.

Expectation is that he will play hurt all year. First game planned for round 3.

Also learned that Walsh played hurt towards the end of the 2022 season prior to surgery.

He’s unhappy with how his injury has been managed to date.

Not good.
His mum said he was fine and the rest is precautionary. He is expected to play after the bye.
Time will tell I suppose.

Personally I'd classify this as slop rather than scoop given your track record, but who am I to judge!

No, no, it was supposedly 14

So its either Williams is out injured, or he is coming back too soon

Can't keep hedging bets

None of us here have any idea what Walsh has done over preseason

MCL, but not far away either

It might be a concern, but clubs have different ways the spend money to bring a list together

I couldn't give a stuff about individual awards

It's a fair point, but supporters have slapped the club senseless in recent years for lacklustre and or poor fitness

But none of us know what the trigger was for Walsh suffering soreness

Talk of an intense match sim, which may have played out the same way in a real game

I mean Bailey Smith is an endurance beast, but suffered an ACL, overworked?
ACL and back injuries are not a great comparison.

I reckon Walsh needs to be held back, and going forward they may reduce his work load like they have done with Charlie and just let him rip game day.

Both Walsh and Weitering are proven self inflicted. Both understood there bodies. Both hid the truth from the club and pushed too hard. They’re the facts. Every player would push currently in our team due to where we sit. It happens in every club at every level.
If our two vice-captains who by all reports are the two most diligent and professional players at the club are hiding the truth and causing self inflicted injuries then that suggests their is a problem with the process in which the players report injuries to the high performance staff.

That falls on the high performance staff to educate our players better on how they report injuries not the players.

Should Geelong have fired their fitness staff after this? When he spoke about the story on Dyl he said that Taylor Hunt botched his report back to the coaches and said he was right to go

Happens at every club, even the great ones.

2. Player "I'm feeling pain. AR never told me to tell anyone about it so I won't."

Sorry, can't archive because they put a big update on an older article

Yeah, this just puts up the initial article without the update

Dual AFLW premiership player and sports physiotherapist Libby Birch uses skills from both her professions to analyse the biggest injuries in football, and the impact on their teams.

Nearly 14 months after undergoing micro-discectomy surgery, Carlton announced this week that Sam Walsh will be sidelined for at least the first two games of the season due to persistent back “pain and stiffness”.

I wouldn’t say anyone needs to be fired my post was more referring to our two vice-captains and most professional players supposedly pushing themselves over the limit and their injuries being referred to as self-inflicted. If that’s the case the way players report injuries needs to improve.

One thing I do know is just like on field we have to improve the way we manage our injured players if we want to be serious contenders at the end of the season.

Didn't Charlie Curnow have a surgeon that botched his knee operation which caused him to miss a lot more time? We could have had that with Sam Walsh.

Be thankful he will be back for Round 3.

Anyone who's had major issues with their back/neck will tell you that it never goes away. All you can do for the rest of your life, subject to your profession, is manage it and understand there's certain things you can/can't do.
Full credit to Walshy and the HP team in dealing with it and how he/they go about it now. The fact that he's been able to play with it, and the way he's played is amazing, however, he'll still be dealing with it long after he's retired from footy.

Ever conceal anything from your workmates and employer, thinking you could stumble through a certain situation, only to put your hand up later as that situation deteriorated?
