Why are we not putting players to operations is the club trying to save money? We always end up doing it just before season begins making them miss a quarter of season or first month of football.

What about injured players being brought strait back in constantly off repetitive short term or long layoffs…

Players not playing minimal amounts of games back through the reserves to find touch and match conditioning…

Players repeatedly keep breaking down because of the poor selection management from coach and team selection…

Favored player’s being selected, even occasionally from reserves without form or fitness required above players who have deserved games ahead of them…

Playing and selection of preferred players who are played out of position, pigeon holed ahead of better choices for the positional role…

Amongst other things, the review should not be all about the high performance and the nature of the volume of injuries, there’s other factors behind it that should have a handful of people in positions of authority who have certainly contributed to the these issues also…

Hopefully it’s a thorough review, there’s some blame and responsibility which a few which should be addressed…

Are you talking surgery? Who needs it? Charlie, anyone else? Durdin maybe..
From the outside, have to ask the question of Acres. Durdin isn’t a maybe, that shoulder needs to be stabilised, his confidence is shot. Could be our best small forward and is a shell of himself, leading to a lot of negative feedback on here. (Sad that a repurposed small mid could be considered our best small forward)

Cerra needs some focus on his hammies as potentially does O’Keeffe who both had extended down time due to hamstrings. Both are integral to our future and we need to get ahead of the curve.

Our new conditioning bloke will have to hit the ground running with some assessments. Young Matt Carroll needs a pragmatic review before “quitting” on him. Where does Saad sit with his body “frailties”? McGovern?

Adam Cerra heading over to a specialist medical facility in Qatar in the off season to look at his troublesome hamstrings - a lot of the large EPL clubs, like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle, West Ham, Aston Villa, Leicester, Crystal Palace, Everton, Brighton, Fulham, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Ipswich, Wolves and Southampton have sent their players there.

Charlie Curnow (ankle)
  • Will undergo surgery to correct an ankle injury and will work through his rehabilitation over the off-season
  • Is expected to begin to integrate back into the training program when pre-season resumes in December

Corey Durdin (shoulder)
  • Will undergo surgery for a shoulder injury and will work through his rehabilitation over the off-season
  • Is expected to build into contact training by January

Was hoping this would happen. Bombers sent Ridley and I think Reid over there for treatment and the Tigers have sent Gibcus. Needs to get himself right

jiath from hawthorn went to the same place for the same reason for a week last off season and he was still hampered with issues the entire year.

No Martin, Cunningham and Marchbank filling out our injury list ever again.

With Innes in next year things should improve dramatically on this front giving us the best possible chance to challenge.

That's the only big club on that list...;)

Surgery is usually a last resort.

First you try rest, then rehab, strengthening etc.

If/when that fails, THEN you go in for surgery.

Just insane🤯 Encompassing at least 3 years of our window of opportunity

“Since 2020, the Blues have lost 1019 games to injury from across their list – more than 400 more than 18th-ranked Gold Coast (613). They have also lost the second-most games for best-22 players (662).”

It’s slightly annoying how people outside the club and its supporters talk about Russell and as if this season was the outlier for our injuries. We’ve been shithouse the entire time he has been at the club. Two years too late IMO. He should’ve been let go after the 2021 review. How anyone could’ve signed off on saying Russell and Lloyd were doing a good job at the time still baffles me.
