The crazy bit is Stocker has the same injury and i he got it way before Walshy and is still out for 3-4 weeks.

Either Stockers one was more serious or Walsh is a freak
Both imo. Walsh finished the match sim and didn't think there was anything too serious until the precautionary scan showed the injury, to the surprise of everyone. So it was probably on the milder end of the spectrum.

Also he is a freak and uber professional, so faster recovery is almost to be expected. Though this still is next level.

Of course we lose a chunk of our VFL midfield depth in Carroll and Curnow...

Sounds like:

Stocker - 1 week
Cerra - 1 week
Martin - 1 week
Philp - 2 weeks
Carroll - 2 weeks
Honey - (conditioning) 3 weeks
Marchbank - (conditioning) 4 weeks
E. Curnow - (knee) 6 weeks
Cuningham - (knee) 8 weeks
Very good news overall. Annoying Carroll and Philp hurt.

Some great ins to smash the arse off hawthorn the week later

Hopefully that means Kemp to get more midfield minutes in the VFL game on Friday.

Got to feel for the Curnow boys. Imagine being at the same club for the 5 odd years they have yet having barely played with eachother. Chuck is finally fit for the first time in years but now Ed goes and gets hurt.

Being so close yet so far to those special moments must be frustrating as heck for em.

I wonder if wording Jack Martin’s section the way it was (having 8 days to prepare for Hawthorn) might suggest that Adam Cerra’s spot in the side against Hawthorn might not be guaranteed, since he returns to the club in 7 days and we will only have a training session or two before Hawthorn.

Tim Kelly missed the game on the weekend and is available for selection this week so I expect Cerra will be similar.
My only hope is that we don’t have any further outs either for tomorrow nights game or more importantly in the lead up to the next game.
