Herald Sun's rumour mill seems to be throwing up Jake Stringer to Carlton in exchange for Gibbs to Adelaide.

If we lost Gibbs, could that potentially net us Stringer and Schache?

Imagine finishing up the trade period with pick 3, Stringer, Schache and Kennedy?

I'd give that a massive tick.

The club is going to extraordinary lengths to lure one of the best players in the game, a true franchise player if obtained, however I can't report on the likelihood of success and am also not allowed to divulge the player's identity. All I can say is he would be in the top 5 young talents currently in the AFL. Suffice it so say, the club are certainly working extremely hard to lure players to Carlton.

Does Lynch still count as one of the "top 5 YOUNG talents"? He's 25 this month.

There's a standout that I'd consider a franchise player but I seriously doubt he's going anywhere.

Of course maybe 25 is still young and 1981 mentioning Lynch not long before the above post is maybe enough evidence to go with. As for it happening, despite how good he'd look in navy blue I am a little worried about the cost of it getting done...

Saints on Trade Radio discounting the likelihood of trading up in the draft with pick 7 & 8. Bains saying they believe the draft is very even.

They're looking to trade up if possible, they're also looking at trading down if it's favourable. They've said pretty much everything in that regard so far.

RSG on talkingcarlton saying expect Gibbs news today. Not sure of his track record.

Why are we listening to Mick McGuane? No matter what you think of Scache, i think it's poor form and unwarranted to call him a 'lemon' and say the Lions were tricked...AFL clubs know about the density rule it's been in place for a while and affects all players.

Way too early for that kind of language.

Schache's final TAC year was the 2nd year of the rule. I agree with McGuane.
