Loved it when Woosher, a qualified pharmacist, said he'd never touched drugs in his life.
Loved it when Ken Judge was coach of the Eagles and went to senior management and told them that Cousins, gardy and co were mixing with the wrong people and were not behaving off the field.

Judgey gets sacked and Cuz is made captain and Gardy vice captain.

This is probably a bit off topic, but I have often wondered if players/pro athletes who suffer from depression/mental illnesses are allowed to take anti depressants?

Considering how common Depression is amongst the community these days, I'd like to think players are allowed to take these tablets to help improve their quality of life. Left untreated, depression can seriously affect a person's wellbeing. I hope players are given the opportunity to look after themselves, but considering how Crowley copped a 12 month ban for taking a pain killer, I'm not sure about the AFL/ASADA's stance on it.

It would be up to the athlete to ask the question of their doctor/asada. There is a therapeutic use exemption clause so I'm sure there is a way for depression medication to be taken. Just ask the question and don't lose the spreadsheet.

They're fine but you are right, there are many things like steroids in asthma medication, prednisolone etc that you can compete with as long you have a TUE.

I very much doubt that antidepressants would be considered performance enhancing... in fact, in certain areas of one's 'off-field' performing, antidepressants can have quite the demotivating effect...

I was told no decision on players futures til new coach is appointed

Surely this is for the List Manager to determine though? Coach shouldn't be making the final call on which players he wants.

If we wait for the new coach, we end up with another year wasted because the new guy won't want to offload blokes until he's had a proper look at them. If SOS needs to make room, I'm comfortable with a few blokes being moved on.
