This is all too stressful (and confusing).

Why we don't already know what kind of compensation we'll get if Kreuzer leaves is laughable.

AFL's drummed up a model of predictive bullshit to decide it all that seeks to serve whatever they want. That goes if we get #2 or #19. It's just nonsense.

Am I right in saying they will need to weigh up what we lose and what else comes in or is that only considered specifically for FA ins and outs ??

1. Treloar will announce intentions fot a return to Victoria soon
2. Pies interested in Krooze
3. SOS locked up a deal for Plowman and Phillips to come to the blues
4. One more I cant remember.


Plowman and Phillips? Would phillips only come if Kreuze is leaving, not neccessarily.

Also Plowman - yes please. But on the cheap hopefully.

Oh... they have lost some big money players over the last few years and they are a young team. ummm no. They have lost a bunch of guys who would have been on average money but because a couple went FA, they, all of a sudden, were on big money.

Lumumba: maybe 275-350k MAX

Low figure, about 1.275m... How many of their big named stars would have had new contracts over that time? all of them? They need to find the money from somewhere and usually they find it by getting rid of a mid-ranged player... someone who is good, but not a star.

Outside of the AFL, all the average person can do is guesstimate what a clubs salary cap breakdown is. Haven't heard of front loading contracts? No doubt the pies would've paid big contracts this season with all the draft picks they've had over the past couple years.

Or KP forwards !!! FFS, have Blues supporters completely forgotten the nightmare of the past 10 yrs. of trying to re establish ourselves as power by not having a solid spine of classy KP's. Ratten tried this bullsh!t strategy of concentrating on having a strong midfield only but no dominate tall forwards or KP backs.

I can't believe some Carlton BF posters are all ready equivocating about trading away our Picks 1 or 2 (if we were lucky enough to fluke them) for midfielders !!! Jesus we should absolutely jump at the chance of drafting Weitering and Big Shack if the opportunity presents. We have to realize we can't solve all our problems in one draft. Don't worry about missing out on midfielders, comparable players to Treloar or Aish will appear in the next 2 or 3 drafts and as we are likely to finish bottom 3 or 4 in those yrs, and we will get our chances to recruit those classy finishers.

I really hope that if the Blues get a chance to pick up these two tall young guns in one draft, it should not pass up this once in generation opportunity to build on the recruitment of two young potential superstars.

They should be club's No. 1 and 2 priorities !!!
