As much as I'd love for you to have to chow down on a steamer , I agree it seems unlikely.

Hypothetical... if we can't pry Richmonds first form them... and Lennon decides to stay a delusional Tiger... how could we still end up receiving adequate compensation?

Paddy went for 17 & 37. You cant tell me, especially after Ports year that Carlisle is worth more than Ryder. That means to me that hes worth a 2nd rounder so Saints need to offer up pick 24 (or whatever their pick is) and we are gonna have to better that. The problem may complexify with Rice as hes expected to go around the same time with both teams chasing. Both may nominate the same team. Will Bell warrant a draft pick? If he goes to Brissy that surely wont be their pick 21 so its a 3rd rounder or a swap for Aish

Maybe we could convince Richmond to give up their first pick next year, which would be around pick 20 after they win the premiership.

I'm all for fair trading, hell i don't even mind paying above market value if we are getting what we want but shafting is not on and requires retribution.

Part of Richmonds problem is they are trying to win a flag on the cheap.
They are so risk averse now that they won't make the big call.
Norf have shown a bit more willingness in getting Waite , Dal Santo and Higgins and look to be getting rewarded. I still think they are 3 A graders from a flag but at least they can get through week one.
Bit the real test isn't to win an elimination final or two, it's to finish top 4 .
Tigers can't do it with who they have but they don't have the stones to take the risk . It's like they want to sneak up on it while nobody is looking using second rate hacks and has beens from other clubs.

2 picks in the 30s?
Really don't know. First instinct is hell no. Depends how we see next year's draft crop.
Have to realise with compo picks and academy kids #31 this year is probably #35 next year.
how about a second round pick in next year's draft (where the depth is reputed to be better) and something lesser this year?
