We've seen with Brisbane, they've been happy to play very young guys and it's paid dividends.
I'm not so sure they were "happy" to do it. They were in a similar situation to us where the kids weren't playing. That was until they had a glut of injuries and had no choice but to play them, which turned out to be the best thing for them and they ran with it.

Unfortunately for us, when similar happened to us and our kids looked good we dropped them all at once as soon as the older guys were fit.

In fairness they were actually winning with these kids. The only team we beat was westcoast. Lions would have thrashed them.

Don’t know why he would leave being a back up key forward at GWS to be a backup key forward at Carlton?

Because Charlie and Harry are next in the rotation of Carlton players due for an injury.

I have no problems with a strategy of going to the draft...but it would need a shift in mentality by the match committee. If you're going to draft young blokes, you need to start getting games into them. We've seen with Brisbane, they've been happy to play very young guys and it's paid dividends.

Lohmann is 21 and played 35 games. Ashcroft is 20...31 games with a knee reco in there. Logan Morris is 19. Fletcher is 20 and played 41 games. Wilmot 21 and played 56 games.

The fact Moir has only played 2 games is criminal. Some players look like they belong when the standard of the competition goes up and he clearly showed he's not out of place.
Moir didnt have anywhere close to the tank to have played more last season. He was seriously struggling at VFL level for most of the year before coming good in the back end.

Tomorrow will drag too, Austin may twitch on Monday or Tuesday, but I'm not expecting much. We're not proactive, cant be, we're curtailed by lack of salary cap mobility.
Let's hope our list develops organically and we see some real positive impact from GW especially once Cook and Sayers depart end 2025.
Lets see on Monday what the dynamic duo,Austin and GW come up with.

There’s no Bailey Smith here.

Bailey Smith nominated Geelong last week!

/The. End.

Bailey Smith is one, after the midfielder requested a trade to the Cats at the end of last week.

"It is great that Bailey does want to come and play for us, so that is exciting.
Our intention is to trade him in and put him in the Hoops, so we will see where it gets“

The no discussion thread has gone from Rumour Roundup to Carlton getting players who nominated elsewhere.

Are we that bored?
