his network....What intel would Wright have though he’s been in Europe all year. We hired Austin to do a job let him do it and in time he can be judged on the choices he makes.

How could we have easily matched that? That deal has Port getting 13 and 29 for Houston, that’s not much and a deal we could have easily matched.
Really disappointed in the LM team that we are so tight cap wise we can’t add quality when it’s available
We would have still had a top 15 pick to take to the draft as well
OK Let me put it another way (for the sake of those 14 points);
So we started this trade period with Picks 11, 31, 62, 65, 68 which became 12, 32, 63, 66, 69
We lose Owies for nothing, and we trade 12, 14, Carrol & Kennedy to get to Pick 3, having already traded A future first, a future second, 32, 63, 66, to get 14, 72 & 89.
So effectively we will have traded 12, 14, 32, 63, 66, Carroll & Kennedy, A future first, a future second, to get 3, 72, 89
We come out of it with: Pick 3, 69, 72, 89.
On what planet is that a good deal?
Putting all your eggs in one basket with one pick having traded two current first rounders, a future first and current second draft pick is extremely risky imo.
Please let it be the Hawks…..Assuming its Tigers....
Tigers: Kennedy + Pick 14 (Blues) + Pick 26 (Eagles)
Eagles: Pick 12 + F2 (Blues, F2 tied to lions) + Baker + Owies
Blues: Pick 3 (Eagles) + Pick 24 (Tigers)
Means Baker is valued at the equivalent of pick 14
Rates Kennedy + Owies at the equivalent of pick 32
Right. So two first round picks compelled to be traded. Having our own pick bumped 4-5 spots ain’t ideal, but there will remain opportunitiesAccording to The Age, the Tasmanian club is expected to be handed four to five first-round priority picks for the 2027, 2028 and 2029 drafts, with two of those selections from each draft required to be traded to gain experienced talent.
If the club is unable to trade one of those selections to attain players, that selection will be carried into the following year's draft.

That's true.You can't say we gave up a F1 and 14 when the F1 was used for 14. Same with the F2.
I can't see it with O'Sullivan at all. Reckon he's the bust of the draft. In what world is finn a top 10 pick, I would be so shattered if we get him presuming we get pick 3, has to be draper or smilie, pretty easy tbh... Lalor next in line after those boys along with jagga, please don't get Finn Austin!
How about you wait and see what happens, if we do get pick 3 see who we select and if it is Finn how about you give the kid a chanceStarting a NO to Finn O'Sullivan petition, who's in?
Has to be him doesn't it, How Finn is in this category is beyond me... Draper or smilieMy eyes are firm on Draper if it's 3 we take in.
It doesn't really matter beyond the last pick worth any points anyway because they aren't helping with the Campo points match. That’s wrong.

This thread is for the 2024 Draft Order. Through the trade period I will try and keep it as up to date as possible, but I am one person so please be patient. I have also set up threadmarks on the round updates, and will do the same through the trade period as picks change hands. This allows...www.bigfooty.com
His network all work for other clubs, if we pick at 3 it will be an Austin pick as it should be otherwise what’s the point of him having the jobhis network....
What the heck?? How do Collingwood end up with Houston and pick 13??WTF…
So Collingwood get Houston & Pick 13 for Noble & their F1?
Either we didn’t want Houston or Austin can’t negotiate for shit…
Why no love for Langford
Classy smooth left footer id have him over
OSullivan tbh
If we had pick 3 I'd be going
Langford,Smith,Lalor or Draper
Lalor is probably the highest risk but also could be an absolute star
We can pick talent as well mate, your acting as if recruiter's are bullet proof, Finn is a mistake and of it were to happen, I'd love to get pulled up on it in years to comeJust love how a bunch of grumpy folks know so much more than recruiters coaches or executive staff about players and football in general.
Its jolly amusing.
I'm not fussed if we land Houston or not but I really don't want him going to our biggest rivals who will be competing for a top 4 spot with us. Have a feeling he will improve them a fair bit.
Is a shame.
It's not hard to see that there's 5 boys definitely better with our pick if we get it, of courseHow about you wait and see what happens, if we do get pick 3 see who we select and if it is Finn how about you give the kid a chance
They dont. Morris is a moron. What the heck?? How do Collingwood end up with Houston and pick 13??
Graham Wright was travelling in Europe for half the year. Not sure you'd want his input in who to draft.
Pick 26 is more than change. Don’t get me wrong I love this scenario and I hope it happens but pick 26 is a good pick to get back.Imagine the third club is Richmond or Hawks....
Hawks: Barrass
Eagles: Picks 12 + 14 (Blues) + F1 (Hawks)
Carlton: F2 (Hawks) + Picks 3 & 26 (Eagles)
Hawks get Barrass for what they're already offering to pay (F1+F2)
Eagles turn their first and second into two 3 first rounders
We get pick 3 and some change
