We are interested in Houston, but not at any price. Seems Pies willing to pay more than we are.I've not been following the trade period too hard outside of the headlines but are we no longer gunning for Houston?
Also how do we get the Campo twins if we use our first pick?
Feel like we could have done that Essendon trade if we'd been able to make any headway with trading Owies and Kennedy.
Would have cost us our future 2nd as well, but we'd still have our future first.

We were never getting a 2nd round pick for either Owies or Kennedy they both have little to no value and unfortunately if they find a club that will take them we are likely to get a token 4th round pick or a minor late upgrade.
The club can’t be criticised for a one paced midfielder and a slow forward have little to no value they are doing the right thing trying to move them on.
Ok so if the trade looks like this:
Port:
Out: Houston
In: Lukosious, Atkins, Richards, Pick 13
GC
Out: Pick 13, Atkins, Lukosious
In: Noble, Collingwood F1
Collingwood
Out: Future 1st, Noble, Richards
In: Houston
It's still a bit unbalanced.
Maybe Collingwood give up a future 3rd to GC?

Atkins, as in Rory Atkins? Hasn't he retired? Either way, he's shot.
This values Lukosius the same as Noble. Pies make out like bandits.
Gold Coast have multiple academy selections next year. The new system is very harsh. Zeke Uwland is in pick 1 conversations. They need bulk high selections for 2025 to have any chance of matching for those players. Future firsts are GOLD for the Suns as they will likely be for us in ‘26. Addinsall another first rounder most likely.FMD Gold Coast folded like a deck of cards.
And if hewett was put up for trade he would have similar trade value to Kennedy and Owies little to none. The same club that recruited Hewett and I'll add one positional Hewett?

But why would Port?
Ah, I missed the future first in the initial tweets... that's an awful trade. How?
Dees gave up their F1, and 2 x 2nds, and 2 x 3rds, and a 4th.
Typical though, this is why the club will never be successful.FMD Gold Coast folded like a deck of cards.

This new system goes way too far the other way from the existing/old system.
This is why it has been/is being done. Very few opportunities to get those picks. Our F1 and F2 wasn’t enough for that reason.
Depth who can be trusted to play a handful of games.
Thought he'd been injured this season, but he's been destroying it in the VFL, maybe the tiniest bit off in fitness? You'd think there'd be better DFAs.
List spots are usually at a premium.
So do we have SDK Petracca Houston and Harley Reid locked in yet?
