Easy - it's not about Cripps. It's about Carlton. Always was, always will be.

These moves give us an opportunity to draft an elite midfielder who will probably have a decent impact early, but will also help ensure that after Cripps we don't find ourselves with a toothless midfield.

Cripps an exception to the rule imo. The only player I’ve ever said that about.

In saying that, we should get good value next year from whichever player we take at 3.

Geelong are very different to Collingwood...

2023 - took 7 picks in the draft Inc. 3 in the first 2 rounds
2022 - took 2 picks Inc. 1 first rounder
2021 - took 5 picks Inc. 3 in first 2 round

2023 - took 2 picks inc. 1 in the first 2 rounds
2022 - took 3 picks Inc. 2 in the first 2 rounds
2021 - took 4 picks Inc. 1 first rounder

5 extra picks taken at the draft
3 extra picks in first 2 rounds

I think I'd do Kennedy for Daniel if that was a possibility - just not sure if he has his mind set on North or if Dogs will even let him go.
If the word is that we only want to deal in picks ahead of the campo bids … can only be pick 25? Fingers crossed 🤞

For the slow learners of us around here, is Eric Pascoe’s post on JSOS playing CHB telling us that Kemp is going to be traded?
Or that he’s staying forward

I like JSOS as CHB. Will compete 100% and is big enough.

Plus the role of the 3rd tall forward is kind of dying. Most team prefer medium forwards alongside their keys who are good above their head but also at ground level. Moir for example.
Is JSOS tall enough? Or will we encounter the same issues we had when playing Kemp on the 2nd tall?
