These moves give us an opportunity to draft an elite midfielder who will probably have a decent impact early, but will also help ensure that after Cripps we don't find ourselves with a toothless midfield.

Cripps an exception to the rule imo. The only player I’ve ever said that about.

In saying that, we should get good value next year from whichever player we take at 3.

Plus the role of the 3rd tall forward is kind of dying. Most team prefer medium forwards alongside their keys who are good above their head but also at ground level. Moir for example.
