Not at all.

I'm happy we are getting a new coach and new assistants. Thrilled with the new president and departure of other directors.

Hoping to see change with the CEO position firstly, and Footy Boss secondly if it happens.

We had few options when we hired Liddle and Lloyd. Our list is now thought of as being decent but underperforming and despite the media hitjobs, we will have better quality options this time I feel.

The media wont know what to do with them self when we turn it all around

Especially if Brian Cook replaces Liddle. Please let this happen. That can’t come fast enough. I’m thinking the longer Liddle is in that chair, the longer the unrest will continue. Other than oversee membership growth (with inflated stats due to free memberships) he has done precious Liddle else (sorry couldn’t help myself 🤣🤣🤣).

Doubt this is a popular opinion. If Clarko has already said no I'd prefer us to move on now. Don't need to be convincing someone to take on the most demanding job at the club.

If Ross interviews well, give him the job. His motivation is silverware. Clarko from what it seems would be the biggest paycheck in AFL history.

Clarko at the farm be like....

One Liddle thing he did manage to do was get SOS pushed out of the club, and whoever takes over I am hoping that they can get Silvagni involved with the club again in some capacity.

Here's a theory - Sayers has already told Liddle his time is up but rather than a public sacking he's told to stay while he finds another role and help with the transition (and a nice severance package).

Win-win

I think this is absolutely spot on. It happened to me once when I was much younger and more immature and in a job where I hadn’t performed. The boss told me I was going, but he needed me to wrap up a particular project first.

Sayers needs Liddle to run the processes re setting up the coaching team. That doesn’t mean he’s leading the thing, but he needs to at least grease the wheels to get the whole thing going. They’d have an agreement as to when time is up. And when he’s finished, Sayers will give him a good reference.

In the press conference the other day, Liddle alternately looked like an undertaker or a dog on a very short leash. It’s just a matter of time until he’s gone.

West Coast have approached Port Adelaide assistant Jarrad Schofield about joining Adam Simpson’s coaching panel next season, with Jaymie Graham set to leave the club.

Graham, who has been a candidate for the vacant head coaching position at Collingwood and at North Melbourne last year, is understood to be in discussions with both Fremantle and Hawthorn for next season.

Would be happy with either of those as assistants.

Agreed. While its great we are after top operators like Cook and Clarko we will look stupid if Cook rejects us now.
Meh. We are having a crack. It's good.

This board challenge really couldn't have been timed any worse for the challenging party.

If they'd done it a month or 2 ago I'd probably have supported it, but not now. Sayers looks the goods so far and looks to be making aggressive moves in response to the review. Also half the board has already stepped down anyway and the replacements seem like quite good additions.

I think they've missed their opportunity, regardless of who's on the ticket. I hope Kouta isn't fwiw, if he wants back in the club he might burn himself if he is.

The club is in a slightly tricky situation. Normally at least the CEO and possibly the head of footy would be involved with the process of hiring a new coach...but if both Liddle and Lloyd are on the way out, you definitely don't want then involved at all. But it also needs to be done pretty quickly. As much as I respect Diesel, you need a few other savvy operators involved in making the appointment as well.

I think from memory Ange Postecoglu was on the panel that appointed Bolton amongst others

Looking at their Facebook they've been very quiet for a few days and a fair chunk of the comments are people telling them to pull the pin. Vince just wants the spotlight, ego is through the roof with that moron.

Ill conceived and ill timed.
