Or make it easier to not appoint him if we've changed our mind after he thought he had it. Devil's advocate.

There's often a ring in fron a unique field on panels in varying fields. Often its tokenism but in this case, Tim represents the non footy guy that can connect on the data and stats part of the game. Or maybe he just really wanted to be part of it being new to the board.

What I can make of all what goes in here as regards to coaching is that the new coach wants to coach this list but dosent feel comfortable or has the confidence with the board etc.

I am so confused by this club at the moment and the new regime isn't really doing too much to dispel my doubts.
So we appoint Lloyd and Liddle to the coaching committee - both of whom were involved in the committee that selected Teague. And 2 days after it has leaked out we were actively trying to replace Liddle with Cook.
Then we have two blokes in Williams and Parkin - both ex-Carlton who have been out of the game for a good 20+ years.
And then finally 2 directors (plus Williams another director).
No one from outside the club bubble, no one from recent players / media / football personalities, heck no one even from outside the AFL industry to add a different perspective.
All of this potentially for a process that is only there for optics as well.
Seriously concerned. I genuinely hope the club knows what its doing and I am just overreacting here, but the faith in the new regime is definitely wavering after this.

ITKs have been very wrong lately. My bet is they were all gifted wrong info to see which one was leaking.
That would be even worse. Allowing sacked members to choose the next coach. What a shit show.
Yeah I can’t believe I left Ang out, but Manton was also fwd/back, so we def had some depth.
BTW, Can anyone remember that run by Ang where he had a couple of bounces and his tackle came out the bottom of his shorts while he was running. I seem to remember the footage being shown on the footy show and Ang saying how embarrassed he was, and Sam Newman saying something like “Don’t worry, you definitely don’t have anything to be embarrassed about”

He run a fake review now he is running a fake process to find a coach. All that he has done is sack one coach and he is about to appoint one that will take us further backwards.
Club going backwards at a rate of knots if that was even possible.
They were right about Cook and Healy.
The more concerning issue is the club genuinely has no idea what they are doing, keeps changing its mind, hence the info that is current one day moves in a completely different direction the next because of the flip-flopping.

No they haven't. Some have been spot on with things.
No ITK is going to get everything right all the time.
Same old story....nothing but whining....wouldnt matter what Carlton does it will be wrong to some. We could hire God and the Pope and Merlin the magician and some would complain.
