Having Liddle and Lloyd on the coach selection panel is very odd. Some very weird signals being sent at the club at the moment.

There would not be many in footy whose word would be more respected than Brian Cook's, and I'd feel very comfortable with both the coach selection process, and the broader remit of revamping the club from top to bottom, if he's in any way involved.

Cook would be genuine to his word, I reckon, and would be focused on Geelong for now, but gee, we'd be negligent if he wasn't canvassed about our coaching selection process given how integral this appointment will be to the broader club-wide process to come - one we'd hope he will helm.

Perhaps drawing a very long bow here, but might Cook have a better insight than many into Brad Scott through his years with Chris? I'd be very inclined to speak to Brad if Cook were to suggest it.
