Maybe he does not know either if things changed radically.
Last time I heard he was suggesting if Healy pulls out of coaching panel spot a past Carlton captain would be part of it, but that has not happened and now we see Liddle and Lloyd name on coaching panel. It seriously looking like club is all over the place at moment with what they doing.
What the hell is Parkin?

Why would a Lloyd or Liddle leak anything to the media at a time like this? A lot might not think they are great at their job, but they are not dumb.

They would be signing their death warrant.
If you were Liddle, how would you react to Cook publicly being head-hunted by Sayers? I think the board should have been a lot more discreet about Lyon and Cook.

.....but when you know your death warrant is signed?
.....remember this is the guy who confected a story about conflict of interest to bone another employee

Has an ITK stated RTB was official plan B? For all we know that's just media talk and maybe was only our plan C, D or later and he has worked that out today? If that's the case and possibly plan A (Clarko) and plans B and C (coaching finals?) are still in play, I wouldn't be too bothered in that scenario. Only is an issue if you had your heart set on RTB.

Ross was invited to go through the process - presentation, interviews, etc.

He felt as though, if the club wanted him, they shouldn’t be making him go through a process. They approached him, he didn’t apply for it.

My view - inclined to agree with Ross here. You either want him or you don’t. In the same way we approached Clarkson with an offer, if you’re approaching experienced coaches, you’re approaching them with an offer - not an interview request. Debacle.

You're arguing points by going off on a tangent...

Let's peel it back... we are talking about Ross withdrawing from the race

After showing interest and excitement - his words, how can anyone solidly conclude that he's not the right person? He suddenly lose interest and excitement? Or is our process poorly handled and drawn out is what put him off?

BF you're entitled to your opinion mate and I genuinely do respect it.

You seem to be blaming the club.

I am actually happy with the club for sticking to its guns and following a process. Not leaking info (as said most of it has been media speculation)
As I said earlier i don't rate Ross that highly. I think there are much better coaches out there i.e Fagan Longmuir Hardwick Scotts.

I just don't want a guy that thinks he is better than his peers when he has been out of the game and is also not willing to do what it takes to get a job.

If he is allowed to cut corners getting the role will he feel he is entitled to cut corners with other aspects of the coaching job or reporting to higher ups, CEO etc.

Disagree with that.

He should still be made to prove he hasn’t lost touch tactically for instance.

Doesn’t need to be a proper interview but there should be due diligence completed.
